Day 0 - Germination started with the paper towel method on 19 Jan 2021 and taproot was out today, 21 Jan 2021. Soaked the jiffy pellet in 6.7 pH’d water and placed the seedling inside and then put her into the humidity dome. Just waiting for her to pop out.
Day 2 - She’s up and out of the soil and her first set of true leaves are opened up. So went ahead and put her into her 3 gallon fabric pot and gonna keep a glass over her to keep the humidity up a bit more than the tent.
Day 3 - Nothing much to speak of today, just gave the soil a spray of water and gave her a little foliar spray as well. Gave the inside of the glass a spray too to keep the humidity up more than the tent.
Day 5 - Still going strong and looks nice and healthy. Got the next little set of leaves started so will just be spraying the soil and the inside of the glass today and will give her a light foliar spray.
Day 6 - Nothing much to really speak of today, just sprayed the soil with some water and gave her another light foliar spray.
Day 7 - The end of week one and all looks good and still not much to speak of right. Just keep spraying the soil with a light mist of water and giving her daily foliar sprays.
Day 9 - So far so good as we’re starting week 2 and not much to speak of. Still keeping the glass over her for a bit of higher humidity.
Day 10 - Still not much to speak of today, just another light spray of water on the soil and in the glass. I did pour a small amount an inch or two around her base.
Day 11 - She’s still chugging along nicely and nothing to really speak of, so boring with updates but fun to watch the growth each day. Sprayed the glass with some water and will probably stop using in the next day or so.
Day 12 - She’s looking good and decided she’s ready for the glass to be removed from her, she’s getting a little too big for it now. I’ve got her on a little rack so the fan can hit her a bit and start building up her strength a bit.
Day 13 - Looking a bit droopy today and I suspect may be because the humidity dropped quite a bit but refilled the humidifier and put a glass back over her to help her out.
Day 14 - The end of week 2 and she’s perked back up quite a bit after upping the humidity a bit and using the glass again. The glass is getting a bit small for her so cut a milk jug in half and will use that for a bit longer.
Day 16 - Into week 3 now and she’s starting to get some good growth going. Went ahead and gave her a little bit of water today but could possibly start LST with her tomorrow.
Day 17 - Went ahead and tied her down today, I’m hoping some of the lower stuff can start getting some good light and stretch now. Gave her a little bit of water with a light dose of veg nutes.
Day 18 - She’s recovered from the initial LST yesterday and hoping in another couple days she’ll get some more vertical growth so I can tie her back down and keep getting light to the lower stuff.
Day 19 - Everything is looking good and thought I was gonna top her today but screwed it up a bit so guessing I FIM’d her, hopefully she’ll be ok. Other than that gave her a bit of water, she was pretty dry.
Day 20 - She looks good overall after FIMing her yesterday and just gave the soil another light spray of water. Will start upping the amount of water a bit tomorrow.
Day 21 - The end of week 3 and it looks like she’s starting to get some growth going where she was topped. I went ahead and tied her down again and some of the lower stuff is starting to get some vertical growth so should be able to start tying them out soon.
Day 23 - Starting week 4 and was able to tie out a couple lower branches and removed on big fan leaf that was covering everything in the middle. Soil was dry so gave her about a quarter gallon of plain pH’d water. The new growth from when I topped her is developing nicely as well. Will start tying them down as soon as the get some more vertical growth going.
Day 24 - Removed the two large fan leaves from the top and then tied down another branch. She’s coming along nicely so far and hoping she grows better than the last time I grew this strain. Last one was a very big plant but think I stressed her out and she foxtailed really bad so trying to avoid that this time.
Day 25 - Did a bit of adjustments to the tie downs and she’s starting to develop nicely. Even seen a couple pistils showing up as well so looking forward to her getting a bit bigger and get her trained up. Will probably give her some water and nutes tomorrow.
Day 26 - She’s coming along nicely and did a bit more tying down today. Soil was dry so gave her the first decent watering today, a full gallon with veg nutes so hopefully she’ll continue getting some more growth going.
Day 28 - The end of week 4 today and she’s still going good. I didn’t want to make the same mistake I made with my Skunk so she was just about dry so gave her a gallon and a half of plain pH’d water. Was gonna just stick with half gallon to a gallon but noticed a couple roots poking out the bottom so wanted to make sure she got watered to runoff since the roots are down there.
Day 30 - Starting week 5 and did a bunch more adjusting to the the tie downs and such today, also removed a few fan leaves to keep her opened up. I went ahead and put her on a rack to get her a bit higher so the fan can hit her a bit more.
Day 31 - All going good and did some more adjusting to the pipe cleaners. She’s just about ready for water so tomorrow she’ll get some plain water.
Day 32 - Nothing to speak of really today other than she was ready for water so she got 2 gallons of plain pH’d water and placed back into the tent.
Day 33 - Another day of doing some adjusting to the pipe cleaners and she’s shaping up to be a great grow. She’s starting to throw out quite a bit of pistils so hoping she’ll be going into full flower in the next week or two.
Day 34 - Not much to update today, gonna let her go a bit more and then start adjusting the pipe learners again. She’s coming along nicely and should be set up perfectly for when she comes into full flower.
Day 35 - The end of week 5 and did a couple more bigger adjustments to the tie downs and will pretty much just let her go vertical from here on out. Another day or two and should be ready for some water.
Day 37 - Starting week 6 and decided to give her a feeding of flower nutes today. Lots of pistils are out and want her to really start stretching now. Done with LST for the most part, unless I need to tie out a few in the middle.
Day 38 - Ended up tying down a couple branches again today. Wanted to let her go but I don’t want her getting too out of control on one side. All looking good otherwise.
Day 39 - Everything I tied down yesterday is standing tall again but went and tied one more down, she was getting way ahead of the rest.
Day 40 - All looking good, and did tie down one more branch again and fingers crossed this will be the final one and they all can really start stretching now.
Day 41 - Checked the soil and she was ready for some water so gave her 2 full gallons of plain pH’d water. She’s really starting to get some nice vertical growth going and should continue for awhile longer.
Day 42 - The end of week 6 and looking like this is gonna be a big girl. Flowers are really starting to develop and she’s set up perfectly for full flower.
Day 43 - Starting week 7 and man she’s gonna be a big girl when she finishes up. She’s still doing quite a bit of stretching and waiting for that to slow so she can really start budding up. Should be another day or so then should be getting a round of nutes.
Day 44 - Coming along nicely and she’s getting tall, grew another 1.2 inches overnight. Gave her two gallons of pH’d water tonight and next watering will be with nutes.
Day 45 - She’s still doing her stretching, went from 10.2 inches to 11.2 in the last 24 hours. Did a fairly decent defoliation today as well to open up some of the stuff in the middle a bit more.
Day 46 - Another 24 hours and she stretched another 1.1 inches and looks like she’ll be a tall one. She’s definitely an eater too, she got water two days ago and already dried up so she got 2 gallons of water and bloom nutes. Buds are really starting to form up and looking forward to them starting to really stack up and fatten.
Day 47 - Overall she’s looking good and the stretching looks to be slowing down a bit. She does look a bit droopy right so not sure what that’s all about but hopefully she’ll start peeking up as she starts to dry out a bit.
Day 48 - She’s starting to dry up a little and looks like she’s perked back up again. Not much I can really do with her right now other than watering and feeding her when she needs it.
Day 49 - Ending week 7 and she’s still doing some stretching but slowing a bit. She was doing about an inch or more every 24 hours and now about a half inch but still getting tall. Buds are starting to really develop now and looks good. She was dried up as well so gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water.
Day 51 - Starting week 8 and she’s really starting to fill in and she’s still stretching about 1/2-3/4’s an inch every 24 hours. All is looking good right now and should be ready for a nice watering tomorrow. She’s just starting to get a little droop from being thirsty.
Day 52 - She stretched another 1/2 inch overnight and she was definitely ready for water today, so she got 2 full gallons of plain pH’d water. Next feeding will be with nutes.
Day 53 - Looks like she’s just about done with the stretch, only about 1/4” the last 24 hours. So now hopefully she’ll really start packing on the buds.
Day 54 - Nothing much to speak of today, I lowered the lights a bit yesterday since she’s about done stretching and looking forward to her fattening up from here on out.
Day 55 - Buds are slowly starting to fill in nicely right now and looks like this one will be a hefty harvest. She was ready for water today so got 2 gallons with nutes.
Day 56 - The end of week 8 today and she’s filling in more and more each day and looking forward to her really starting to fatten up. Nothing much else happening other than removing a couple yellow and dead fan leaves from the bottom. She is a little light in color so she may need to have her nutes upped just a bit.
Day 58 - Starting week 9 and she’s filling in nicely and showing some gorgeous frost. She’s gonna be ready for water tomorrow and will probably give her a dose of nutes. Nothing much else happening, she’s pretty much taking care of herself.
Day 59 - Gave her 2 gallons of water and nutes today and all looks good with her. She’s filling in nicely and starting to put out a nice fruity kind of smell. Other than that, not much else happening.
Day 60 - All looks well after watering yesterday and love watching her fattening up each day. Getting nice and frost too, not much else really happening.
Day 61 - Still packing on the buds and looks great, she’s got a nice pinkish color to her right now. She’s just about ready for water so will juice her up tomorrow.
Day 62 - Not much to update today other than I gave her two gallons of plain pH’d water this evening. She’s really filling in quite a bit each day and haven’t really had any issues with her so far.
Day 64 - Nothing to update today other than she’s showing a bunch of gorgeous reds pistils mixed in with the yellow and oranges. She’s still got another couple days, I think, until she’s ready for some water.
Day 66 - All going good, gave her two gallons of water and nutes today. Nothing much else I need to do with her right now.
Day 67 - Nothing much today, just did a light defoliation, mostly the yellowing and dying fan leaves from the bottom.
Day 68 - She still chugging along nicely and filling in quite a bit. Not much else happening with her right now, she’s taking care of herself.
Day 69 - All still going well but she is still a little light in color so she needed water tonight and gave her another round of nutes. She definitely seems to be a hungry girl and eats a lot.
Day 73 - Into week 11 now overall looking good and fattening up quite a bit still. She was pretty damn dried out and droopy so gave her some water and nutes today. Other than that, not much to speak of.
Day 74 - She’s a lot better and no drooping today. Gonna make sure I don’t go so long between watering next time. She looks good overall but even after upping her nutrients, she’s still a bit pale. May double up next feeding but not sure yet.
Day 75 - No major issues, did a light defoliation today and checked the soil, she’ll be ready tomorrow. Other than that, buds are still fattening up nicely and smell is starting to get pretty strong.
Day 76 - Still chugging along and gave her some plain pH’d water tonight. The way she’s going, I might give her one more round of nutes then start the flush.
Day 80 - Into week 12 now and gave her her last feed of nutes today. Next watering, I’ll start flushing her with Technaflora’s Sugardaddy and MagiCal. It does seem like she’s starting to foxtail a bit and this is the second Pineapple Express I’ve grown that’s done this but she was still a good smoke so not complaining much.
Day 81 - Just some daily updated pictures, nothing happening right now. Waiting for her to dry out so I can start the flush.
Day 84 - The end of week 12 and started flushing her today and gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water. The next two waterings, I’ll use Technaflora’s Sugardaddy and Magical and then one more watering after that.
Day 87 - Into week 13 now and looking like she’s got about two weeks left. She got 2 gallons of water with 5ML of MagiCal and 80ML of Sugardaddy then pH’d it to 6.7. She’ll get one more feeding of that and just plain water until harvest. She’s mostly milky right now with a couple still clear and a few amber mixed in.
Day 88 - Nothing much to speak of today, did a little defoliating and that’s about it. She’s got almost all milky and amber trichs now, had a hard time finding any clear but still a few in there but want a lot more amber to show up before chopping.
Day 91 - The end of week 13 and she’s just about finished and the way I like her with amber trichs so she’ll get the axe at some point this weekend. I’m gonna let her finish drying up so may chop on Saturday or Sunday.
Day 94 - Into week 14 now and giving her a little more time before chopping. I was gonna do it yesterday but something is tell me to let her go so I might give her another week and chop this coming weekend. I also gave her another 2 gallons of just plain pH’d water today.
Day 95 - Just a few updated pictures and still looking at chopping her this week or weekend sometime, just waiting for a little more amber trichs to show up. I’ll probably give her one more watering and will probably give her ice water for the final.
Day 96 - Updated pictures for the day, I’m just waiting for everything to dry up, then she’ll be ready for chop. She’s almost 50% amber and that’s about where I like them.
Day 97 - Nothing really updated, just a couple pictures. I’m gonna try putting her into darkness for 24-48 hours and see what that does. I’ve heard mixed reviews but overwhelmingly not much difference but figured I’d give it a try and see.
Can’t speak on the smoke just yet as I just chopped her last night but will update along the way. I did end up with 754 grams of wet bud and 134 grams of trim and fluff buds. Did the bud washing with this girl like I did with my Skunk and hoping for the same effect because my Skunk is one of the smoothest smokes and have to think it’s because of washing all rhe extra crap out of her.
8 May 21 Update: Right at 7 days of drying and she’s ready to start curing. Ended up with 174 grams of dried smokeable buds and can’t wait for a bit of cure to see how she smells. The smoke is amazing and every time I think I find my go to strain, I harvest another and gotta say the stuff is top notch. I’ve got 2 more seeds so looking forward to growing this girl out again.
This strain was one of the easiest grows I’ve done and the only issue was it took 14 weeks this time and was expecting somewhere 10-12 but still nothing to complain about.
