In my previous grows, I was submerging the seeds in a cup of water for a day or two and then placed them in a damp/wet paper towel and allowed the tap root to grow an inch or so before placing them into my substrate mix. Now I just placed the seeds in just-watered substrate and effectively skipped doing the paper towel germination method in favor of something less complicated and involved with the same results. I decided to start my two ladies along with another nine Carolina Reaper seeds and hopefully those pop soon (I've read peppers take longer, we'll see). I have not watered since initially making the substrate damp and placing the seeds in.
These two ladies will be my first photoperiod grow. I am planning on main-lining these two. Excited to see where I can take them!
@Victor0989,
Yep, I placed mine in the substrate on Monday and today (Friday) they are just starting to peak above the soil. I'm expecting them to be about an inch by Sunday or so.
