She has quickly established a great reputation for stunning yields and very strong weed. Even first time growers have achieved over 100g/plant and experienced growers can achieve 200g-300g+. She can grow over 1m tall in experienced hands and is a good alternative to traditional varieties, offering bumper harvests of strong cannabis just 10-11 weeks after seed germination. The genetics come from a special AK47 hybrid known as AK420. auto orange bud thc: 14-16 % pheno: sativa dominat The Dutch Passion master breeder responsible for some of the best modern autoflowering genetics, such as Auto Mazarยฎ๏ธ, Auto Ultimateยฎ๏ธ and Auto Daiquiri Limeยฎ๏ธ, took extra special care to create Auto Orange Budยฎ๏ธ. A male autoflowering Auto Daiquiri Lime individual was first crossed with the supreme original Orange Bud photoperiod mother plant. He waited until he had enough capacity to make a selection from as many plants as possible, so he could breed the best from the best over 12 subsequent generations. The project took over three years, one of the most complexed autoflowering breeding program so far. The breeder selectively bred those plants with the highest THC levels, the biggest yields, the authentic Orange Bud smell, taste and effect. The result was an autoflowering variety which is as good as the original photoperiod Orange Bud in potency, quality and aroma/taste. 4 seeds out of 4 germinated. End of the first week and quite happy about their performance. let's hope they keep going like that ;)

Grow Questions

dear growers, I have a problem with the plants. Apart from the heat stress and some light stress, there is also another problem. Some of the leaves (see last photo) show a shortage. The leaves turn yellow / brown from the outside to the inside. With the veins that remain greenish. Someone an idea what this could be? thank you in advance
Solved
Leaves. Veins - stay green

Hi there! On the first sight it can look like a Potassium deficiency, but I think it's not. Judging with the infos onto your diary I think your meals are correct and they get enough Potassium. My opinion is that they suffer from light-stress, they're too close to the light and these are also the same symptoms as a P deficiency. Make sure it's not a light stress by increasing the distance and see how it goes. I'll be around, keep us up-to-date so we can help you adjusting your parameters, and happy growing!

still no idea why. my gut instinct was that it's because they're only 2 or 3 weeks away from harvest. I have another plant (fastbuds gsc) in the tent which is a little behind in development and perfectly green all over, which would make me discount a few of the possible causes, but at the same time I understand every plant is different. The only thing I'm really worried about is the fact that I'm not particularly worried, and worried that I should perhaps be worried haha.

Dahoola
@Slowking, Hey man! Those buds of yours look super nice. Let me know how they tasted. Yes, it has been a real fight against the high temperatures. Fortunately, it's a little cooler since today. The plants have really suffered a bit. Hopefully not too many negative effects on the yield. I think I have another 2-3 weeks to go. Good luck with your harvest today.
Slowking
Slowking
@dahoola, well it looks like yours is 100% going to be a higher yield than mine, saw this coming for a couple of weeks anyway ๐Ÿ˜œ I'd been having trouble with temps as well these last two weeks, to think that when they started just 8 weeks ago I was having to put the central heating on around the clock!! How long have you got left? I'm harvesting today.
Dahoola
Dahoola
@Slowking, I did not know that epsom salt could be used in plants. Keep me informed how that goes. Yes, a grow without any issue would be nice. I have been growing for 7 years now, but learn something new every round. Thanks for the compliment, but I would not call it perfect. It can always be better ๐Ÿ˜€ Difficult to say what the yield will be. The previous 2 grows always yielded about 300 grams out of 4 plants. Of course I hope to do better, but I'm happy when I get 300 gram ๐Ÿ˜‰ The ultimate goal remains 1gram / watt, of course ๐Ÿ˜‹

@dahoola, yeah it seems to be somenthing common ,one of my td is also much bigger than her sisters. You can check them out in my journal ๐Ÿ˜. Your girls are looking awesome btw!
Dahoola
Dahoola
@TangW, Good to know that I am not the only one who has this difference in size. it's just the same with me. 1 of the TD is almost twice as big. have tied her down a bit, so as not to have too much difference in size. little annoying to determine the height of the lamp ;)

What do you mean by leaf tucking? I think I know, just curious. Always trying to improve my technique. Ps.Looks great๐Ÿ‘
Dahoola
Dahoola
@Dr_Sampson, thanks man! and it's true what you say. that is one of the reasons why I prefer to do leaf tucking instead of defoliation. In later stages where there may be shortages or other problems, the plant can get reserves from the leaves. To put it simply. The leaf green remains the engine of a plant. The less green, the less powerful the engine ;)
Dr_Sampson
Dr_Sampson
@MG2009, I'd also add that because the leaves havn't been removed they are still providing some(allbeit less efficient, but better than none) photosynthesis and residual nutrient storage in the even of deficiency. Great work!

taking fine shape also! pretty much same height too. got to wonder if they will match up for the whole way through at this rate. have you done much lst besides tucking? did a wee bit myself earlier with a good few sites popping up.
Dahoola
Dahoola
@Slowking, fortunately my setup is in a place with stable temperatures. So that I do not have to worry too much about the temperature. Of course, sufficient air extraction and ventilation remain crucial. In terms of watering, it is not too bad. Their water consumption has naturally increased, but for the time being I still have to water them every 2 days. They each drink about a good 2 liters. BTW, Do you already have a solution for that lower leaves issue?
Slowking
Slowking
@dahoola, how on earth are you managing to water those girlies? i'd be curious about temperature control as well. i have only two in a tent, and find myself fretting about it and regularly checking. might well just be the mark of the noob in my case though!

@dahoola, Man, it's getting hard to compare when I look at the luscious green meadow that is your tent. Bet it smells beautiful, even if only a weak fragrance at the moment!

Hi mate interesting grow! I was wondering what you thought of the omina raw? Im in a hard water area and i heard its great at helping plants utilise the cal &mag thats present in tap water so you dont need to add any extra cal&mag. Whats your thoughts on it? Got my finger on the trigger to buy some ๐Ÿ˜†

BuddingBudda
@Dahoola,thanks mate this is what i was hoping for, kinda ground breaking for us hard water boys but no ones heard of it ๐Ÿ˜‚ ive read you can run irrigation systems with it and it wont block up with limescale so yet another good use! ๐Ÿ˜†
Dahoola
Dahoola
@BuddingBudda, I have been using omina for quite some time. and must say that since then I do not have to administer calmag separately. I also have hard water myself and the combination with omina works perfectly. of course every plant is different and some strains need more calmag. but so far I am more than satisfied with this product

Hoo, Your hunch was correct. You are overfeeding. More precisely, your nutrient solution is polluted by one or more nutrients in your nutrient program. This is causing your plants to over vegetate. More leaf means less calyx and the calyx is where the trichomes are most densely packed. I am a master of over vegetating, unfortunately. I learned to recognize these symptoms the hard way. All the same, congrats on an impressive grow.
Dahoola
Dahoola
@Stick, Hi man, thanks for the quick response. My suspicion may also be light stress. As you also state, I also doubt whether it would be a shortage in the food scheme. I even thought about overfeeding. Now I have to add that it is not necessarily the leaves that are closest to the lamp that suffer from it. Even those a bit lower. The solution would therefore simply be to hang the lamp a bit higher. To check it out. Unfortunately, the lamps hang at maximum height. Maybe I should pull the ladies aside with rope. Thanks again for your input, I appreciate it

Looking good man, maybe some defolation? Looks like a jungle in there ๐Ÿ˜›
ValleoGrow
ValleoGrow
@dahoola, yeah 4 sure man i see your point, iโ€™m just Thinking maybe at some point it Will do more good than harm u know๐Ÿ˜› like not just send the energy to the flower but also better air circulation, bit lower humidity, lower chance for mold and so on, but stand nu your decision for sure, looking forward to see the result!! ,
Dahoola
Dahoola
@ValleoGrow, thx man! It is indeed a jungle ๐Ÿ˜ I have thought of defoliation, but have decided not to do it. I still find it unclear whether autoflowers really benefit from defoliation. I often read from growers that it 'really works' but without really irrefutable evidence. There are quite a few arguments that claim the opposite. That defoliation does not necessarily benefit the plant. There are even real studies that prove that defoliation even leads to a lower yield. So I decided not to really defoliate them (with the exception of a few leaves that covered some buds too much)
