I’m running this strain, because after early sampling of the one I just harvested, I’ve decided I can’t live without it in my lineup.
So here we go again!
Transplanted earlier in the week to a 2.5qt pot. I’ve given light nutrients, in addition to Bigfoot, for root stimulation. Eventually I’ll transplant to a 5 gallon Radicle Bag. Showing signs of transplant shock.
I topped her 2 days ago, at the 5th node. I’ll be transplanting later in the week, as I just Watered last night. I’ll be transplanting to a 5 gallon Radicle Bag. No Bigfoot this week, but I’ll include it when I transplant. I’ve increased nutes slightly. 2tsp of Big Bloom and 1tsp of Grow Big.
That said, she is not the happiest of plants. Some parts of her leaves lack any kind of pigment. I took a closeup of one of the leaves. The white parts can not handle light, and they shrivel up. I hope it grows out of it.
I transplanted into a 5 gallon Radicle Bag this week, adding a teaspoon of Bigfoot to stimulate root growth. She’s recovered from topping, but is still occasionally putting out leaves with missing pigment. I’m sure this will affect the overall yield, so I may place another smaller candida next to it to flower. I’ll be putting on the SCROG net soon.
I applied the scrog net this week, but she’s a wee bit runty, and will need to grow into it. The internodal spacing is huge, just like the last one. Even if this grows in more of an indica pattern, I’ll probably need to support the colas. Still having parts of leaves without pigment, but I’m going to ride this all the way out. A little CBD goes a long way, when compared with THC. 😄
I gave her one last shot of Bigfoot with her feeding this week. She’s not doing much, and I don’t anticipate a big yield. I’ll be switching to flower in the next week or two.
I flipped to 12/12 on Sunday this week. She’s brushing out a little with the stretch. I’m hoping she stretches as much as my previous Candida, which more than doubled in height. If not, no worries. They can’t all be monsters. 😄
She’s bushing out in flower a little bit. She might give me more bud than anticipated. She might not get huge, but there will be bud sites all over. I lowered the light to 12 inches.
i didn’t defoliate this week on this girl. I don’t think she needs it, and I don’t want to risk stunting her.
The structure is open enough that it shouldn’t be an issue.
The stretch is done, and it’s time to start packing on buds. She’s not super smelly, like her older sister before her. 5 or so weeks to go. I just made the last ounce from the last plant into butter. Incredible stuff
She’s been a bit fussy, with some color draining from a few leaves. But she’s been just a bit fussy the whole time. It looks like I’ll be getting more color change this round.
She’s fussy as hell, but gorgeous! Getting some purple hues now. Kind of like the crazy/hot scale. Hopefully she’s worth the pain.
I flushed her out, so hopefully the bottom leaves stop yellowing so much. Still has as much as 3 weeks.
So the fade out was much more dramatic and quick than I expected. I was concerned because it is only week 7. I thought I was going to need to keep her together for two more weeks. I checked the trichomes and they are all cloudy, with 10% amber. I’ll be chopping tomorrow. No real flushing, but I do edibles with CBD, so it matters not. 49 days of flowering. 😊
This plant had a leaf mutation that caused 1/10 leaves or so to lack pigment. It was a lower yield, I believe, because of this. The terpenes are normal for CBD 20:1 strains. Meaning it smells dank and pungent, without any more exotic smells like a lot of regular strains. It’s definitely 20:1 CBD to THC. The pain relief is amazing, and it’s been up to the task of tackling above normal anxiety levels this week.
@ChefGreenThumbGardenofWeedin, I think you’ll be happy with the results. I’m switching my setup, so I won’t be able to do much of it. Unless I build a small net for individual pots. It can be done, but that sounds like more work than is necessary.
@ChefGreenThumbGardenofWeedin, Sorry I somehow missed your comment. (Real big mystery with a bunch of weed growers. Lol). I love the Scrog. It really helps me to keep the whole plant evenly under my LED’s.
@fabhz, Does a number on pain and inflammation. It’s very calming. Adds a huge body buzz if you mix it with THC. No psychoactivity at all. No impairment. It’s like smoking Advil and valium at the same time.
Congratulations on the harvest. Sorry the yield wasn’t quite as much as you expected (I experience this too lol). Happy Growing and thanks for letting us follow.
@Tazard, Thank you! I got almost an ounce. As long as I have enough to make 4 sticks of butter, I’m happy! Makes me enough anti-grump cookies to last a while.
