Mild defoliation this week. Before this week I was striping down a lot of leaves but I stopped heavy defol on this week. I just pulled some big fans that were blocking bud sites.
Defoliation stopped this week. I won't be cutting any more leaves. I defoliated all plants all the time and that is the way to go. Bloom week 1 - 5 constant defoliation until every bud site starts getting enough micro moles.
42th day of flowering and I'm here with some pictures. Purple Punch flowers are looking amazing. Pink Kush is getting even frostier and we have 3 more weeks before the harvest according to Barney's Farm estimation. Purple Punch should also be ready for harvest then. Fed them around 1100 PPM this week and I'll return to 800 PPM next week. I'll try to push my plants hard for the last time this week. CO2 boost is still on.
Well, we started this week with some trouble. There was some mildew on the fabric pots due to my heavy watering schedule but I spotted them and sprayed all of the pots with strong hydrogen peroxide solution. All of the mildew have disappeared but the overwatering and mildew invited the fungus gnat larvae, which is not in soil yet. They should all be dead by now since I sprayed them with a strong solution. We have 14 days before harvest so I'll watch the tray closely and water less frequent. Bud size and frost amount is already magnificent and I only need ripening so these plants can finish with less water. Enough with the hard pushing because if I push things harder, I might lose all the harvest.
If the mildew comes back and the gnat larvae keep crawling in the tray, I'll cut these babies relatively early. Second part of this week will be about trichome shots just to see if all the plants are ready to cut. I'll top the coco with perlite, which is a late move but still efficient since I'll keep it dry and bottom feed my plants from the tray for the remaining two weeks.
I had to cut down the Purple Punch twins to make some more room for the pots on the SOG tray. I hope these measures help keeping the mildew away so my plants can finish properly. Purple Punch nugs are looking amazing though...

All of my Purple Punch stash looks very potent and tasty. I've been smoking the first plants that I've took down since this morning. They've been getting dried for 5 days and they already taste and hit amazing. Purple Punch can punch and wreck you in several puffs if grown properly. The pheno I have is fire.
This harvest is about the Purple Punch twins inside the same pot hence the 0.025 m^2 area. One pot yielded around 27 grams and I got 10 more bigger plants in there. I'll be harvesting all plants in two days and share the total yield.

As far as I can remember prices were like one USD for a Watt + shipping and customs tax if there is any in your region. They only built units that have more than 2.5 umols/J which is top class. Definitely recommended. Tell them about your grow space dimensions and any details that you think is important. They will guide you to choose the right model. Cheers brother. I won't be needing luck on this grow but thank you so much 🙏 Setup is perfect and strains are fire. I've grown these before and these two is my favourite among the first wave of Barney's Cali collection. I'll share my Runtz Muffin, DoSiDos, Mimosa Evo and LSD grow soon as well.
Lights are amazing and I got a nice CO2 reactor. Expecting over 700 grams easily from this batch even though the main strain here is Pink Kush and she is a small yielder. I guess I came across an amazing pheno because it has rarely too much frost. Definitely recommended. Purple Punch is also amazing and no less than the Pink Kush but again, I'm really happy with this PP pheno too.
The mildew on the fabric pots are eliminated and I wanted to share the good news with you guys. You can clean your grow area with H2O2 like I did with my pots.
I am not watering anything and letting the pots dry. As we all see, buds have some amber going on and I think next week will be the harvest week for Pink Kush easily. I might keep Purple Punch plants in flowering for an extra week because I only have 2 plants left from this PP batch and I can fit them inside my small tent until they get ready to chop.
Potency is looking incredible folks. Definitely give these two strains a try.
