First grow

So this week it looks like the plant has grown about 1.5 inches. I finally upgraded to a six inch clip on fan. Unfortunately the clip seems a bit to big to clip on the side pole of the tent. I also received and installed my 4 inch inline fan to the charcoal filter to exhaust the tent and installed a box and flex line from the room vent to provide fresh air into the tent.

Turned on the flowering light after researching and discovering that my plant was starting to flower.

Added some jute to trained it a bit to the left and keep it fairly straight. Also trimmed a couple of the larger leaves from near the bottom to open up light for the bottom leaves that have buds starting on them.

Ok so first lets start with my rating. For my first grow it was not as expected. Too be fair I royally fucked up at a couple points in the process. I started with a paper towel germination and planted the sprout after 7 days. Probably should of planted it after 4 once i had seen the root appear. Next I planted it using Jiffy natural and organic seed starting mix which is coconut coir, vermiculite, and peat moss. If you're new to growing weed or anything else for that matter the reason that's bad is because all 3 ingredients are sterile and have no nutrition for the plant(would have been ok for seed starting vs sprout growing). When I started this process I didn't have my tent yet so instead of setting up my grow light I put the newly planted sprout in my kitchen window for a week. Even though its a south facing window that was not a good idea in late december when there's not much light and trees blocking the sun for half the day or better. Next I transplanted from the jiffy starter pot into a 10 gallon grow bag with fox farms ocean forest. Nothing wrong with foxes soil but I later learned that you shouldn't transplant autos and that a 10 gallon pot was way to big for the auto as it would take a week or more for all the soil to dry out before the next watering depriving the roots of oxygen between waterings. So all in all don't judge this seed by my rating as I know I made several mistakes from start to finish. I have a few micro nugs and am currently drying them and getting ready to cute them in a couple more days. Ill be starting another diary as I planted 2 more seeds in smaller bags the same day I harvested this one.
