Welcome to our next adventure with Barney’s Farm!
This time we are taking a look at the Amsterdam Classic “Cheese”
5 seeds pack and we are going for all of them.
Germination method as last time - cosmetic pads moist with some water and darkness for 48h.
And we have 100% germination rate!
From here all 5 into jiffy pellets and humidity dome. After 72h those girls popped out from both ends - with roots outside pellets so we needed to transplant the into first set of pots.
What I can tell so far...they are very vigorous and I love it 😍
Stay tuned!
Welcome in week 1 of Veg!
Girls are growing nice fast and healthy. At this stage all of them are very similar in size and hight.
With end of week and second set of leafs girls started first feed with 10ml of A and B mixed in 10 litres tank of water.
Every 24h around 0.2 litres
pH 5.5
EC 0.4
Stay tuned with next weeks updates!
👌
Welcome in week 2 of Veg 🙏
This week doubled our ladies in size. From this week B-52 was introduced to the mix with small CO2 bag in the tent.
Everything looks spot on at this stage. In next couple of days we will top all of them with transplant to final 20litre pots planned in 5 days from today.
EC this week around 0.9 and it doesn’t look like “too much”
pH 5.5
Next week I think we will introduce scrog net to start training those girls.
Stay tuned with updates 🤘
Ladies and gentlemen welcome in week 3 of Veg - week 4 from seed!
Busy week in the garden. All girls got topped on day 3 and transplanted to final 20 litres pots on day 5.
As usual I decided to transplant way too late as roots started to come out 1 gallon pots and it wasn’t easy job to move them. Hopefully they will recover without much stress.
We had some small pH fluctuations during the week but now every day they are getting 2l of food every 24( with pH levels around 5.6 - 5.8
Tomorrow start of LST and further in the week I will instal first level of scrog net.
Stay tuned with updates! 🤘
Welcome in last week of Veg 🤘
It was a busy week in the garden as per preparation for flowering period.
We had some fun with LST helping those girls to spread same as a bit of defoliation on lower branches.
Last shuffle and girls are almost ready. Just started to instal my SCROG net and it’s the last long day for them before 12/12.
Lights went down to around 26 inches and for next 48h they are getting only pH’d water. After that we are starting with all the good stuff for blooming.
Most of the week EC 1.1 - 1.2
pH 5.6 - 5.9
Last two days plain water with 5.9 pH 👌
Stay tuned with updates 🙏
Ladies and gentlemen welcome in Week 1 of Flower 🙏
Girls are getting bushy. There was a small nitrogen issue as some leafs got claws and I’ve noticed very slow growth. Two days of flush, day without feeding and it looks like they are slowly recovering.
In comparison to my other projects this one is very very slow if it goes to stretching.
On day 6 first feeding with new set of nutrients.
EC 1.4
pH 5.8
2 litres per plant
Stay tuned with updates 🤘
Welcome in Week 2 of Flower 😎
This week all girls got bushy so decided to run defoliation session.
As that’s the fastest I’ve ever sent plants to flower so they are really short and quite even. Going forward next step was removing scrog net as with this size and amount of plants it’s completely not needed.
Changed as well lights position - MarsHydro in front and Spider Farmer in the back of the tent getting the, both directly in the middle.
All looking nice and healthy and I’m really interested how they will finish.
EC this week - 1.4
pH 5.8
2 litres every 24h
Stay tuned with updates 👌
Ladies and gentlemen welcome in Week 3 of flower 🌺
Looking at this week I feel much better seeing how they stretching.
Buds started to form nicely. Four of them growing with the same speed and vigour and the middle one is definitely a second pheno with completely different bud to leaf ratio.
Next week I’m planning to start slowly strip them from all fan leafs and finish this process around week 5.
After first 3 days of daily feed I’ve noticed very small signs of potassium overload so for last 48h they are getting only pH’d water.
EC at start of the week 1.4
pH 5.8
EC end of the week 0.3
pH 5.6
Stay tuned 🙏
Pow pow and welcome in week 4 of flower 👌
Busy week in our garden. Buds started to form nicely so I’ve decided to run quite heavy defoliation session.
It looks like they love more light and getting bigger and bigger every day.
Instead of full feed every day I’m feeding them once every two days feeling gaps with pure water. They are looking much more healthy in comparison to my other journeys.
EC this week around 1.8 - 1.9
2 litres every 48h with 2 litres in between
pH 5.8 - 5.9
Stay tuned 🤘
Welcome in official week 5 of flower 🙏
We are in a cruise control mode now. Removed most of the fan leafs from upper parts of the plants and now it’s just time to wait watch and enjoy.
All energy is now focused on developing buds and I really like what I can see.
Maybe they are not the biggest plants in my history however they are the most healthy ones.
This week we are adding overdrive to feeding chart 👌
EC this week around 1.8 every 56h and 24h pure water
pH 5.7 - 5.8
Stay tuned!
Pow pow and welcome in week 6 of flower 👌
Another steady week in our small garden. Girls are getting more and more mature every day. Buds starting to get bigger and denser every time I’m looking at them. On start of the week they all got a bit too much nutrients and some of the leafs got burned. Went definitely too high trying to give them EC 2.0 - they are not big enough and on this stage 1.7 - 1.8 is enough.
As last week: one day of feeding —> two days of water
Stats for this week:
EC 1.8-2.0
pH 5.9 - 6.1
2 litres per plant every 24h
Stay tuned!
Welcome in official week 7 of flower 👌
Yet another steady week on cruise control. All of them are getting fatter every day. From what I can see we will keep them probably week longer - finishing around week 9.
This week: full feed only two times on day one and day three. From there only pH’d water till very end.
EC for first 3 days 1.8
pH 5.8 - 5.9
Stay tuned!
Welcome in official week 8 of flower 🙏
Girls are in full flush mode what we can see on fan leafs. Rest of Nitrogen is being sucked from all fan leafs what suggest that root zone is now clear.
They are getting 2l per every 24h
From what I can see all trichomes are now cloudy with few amber. I will give them another 4 days before chop.
Next week will be the final one in this garden.
How many Oz we will pull out this time?
Stay tuned!
Definitely night smoke. Makes you very relaxed and what’s strange...horny lol. Buds are dense and aromatic. Covered with trichomes as you can see on the photos.
Absolutely great harvest. I will be honest - didn’t expect such a great outcome.
From all my gardens so far this one was send to flower just after 4 weeks. Plants definitely smaller than usual however yielded absolutely great:
Plant 1 - 113 grams
Plant 2 - 107 grams
Plant 3 - 102 grams
Plant 4 - 105 grams
Plant 5 - 90 grams
———————————
Total : 517 grams of pure buds without popcorn 😍
I’m absolutely amazed with this one ☝️
Thank you Barney’s Farm! 🖤
@DesDeGrower, interested to see how your auto run turns out and I have not run a auto since the early versions in 2006 ish but see they have improved massively since
@Esoteric_growing,vey nice. I was absolutely in love with mine in coco. Still have two seeds left however after this Cheese I’m planning to run autos from FastBuds first time in my life. Really hope I will not be disappointed 😎
@DesDeGrower, thank you brother. I have grown runtz in organics, coco and now about to flower off my hydro run. Moving on to something else next though
Looking like a great start. I hope you get that real stinky exodus pheno, a real good cheese pheno is highly underrated these days but I would still have that over a lot of the more fashionable strains👍
@DesDeGrower, I am sure google have several photos of the exodus cut, also if you like cheese have a look for psychosis seeds from kg beans. Like cheese on steroids and even more stinky.
I am lucky enough to have lived in the UK so very familiar with these strains. Happy growing brother👍
@Esoteric_growing, thanks again 👌 Much appreciate your every visit on my journeys with plants 🖤 I’m an old school guy and personally love a good cheese. Never had a pleasure to even try the original cheese so looking forward to see this one coming.
I need to check details on that exodus pheno to know what to look for. From all my grows so far - those one are the fastest growing bastards. Have a great day. Much love 🙏
