Late to update for week 8...life sometimes has alternate plans that it forgets to clue you in on until, well...it happens!
Going off my notes and memory, week seven was pretty uneventful. No major issues or changes made. I did increase lights to 95% because I felt that the ladies could handle it. I have yet to put my lights on max...a question I will propose with week 9 update is regarding light intensity.
Dark devils are the largest this far, and I assume that will not change. Skywalker smells amazing...I’m am definitely running this again soon. Lemon seems to have stopped fattening up. Pistils are browning, trichs are getting cloudy, but the buds are really small. The Skywalker is small too.
More on week 9 shortly.
Will the trichs change to amber on this strain? I am a few days past the breeder harvest date, but there are no ambers and more clear ones than I’d expect at this point. I certainly have had plants go for longer or shorter than recommended, but based on trichs I am getting mixed messages. These girls are looking like they are on their last leg and borrowed time. Any advice or pointers for this strain? Thanks!!
It is always great to see an organic grow. The will to do one is more than enough reason. Regarding the small buds issue, happened to me aswell in my first endevours and it turned out to be excess nitrogen during flowering stage. The source most probably the compost tea. And/Or not enough pottasium. So yeah it´s a lot of tweeking required, but the journey should be nothing else than amaizing. The dance of elements, microbes, paramecium, enzymes, mycorize (by the way consider them next time, they´re great) is something to be a part of. Thumbs up and play!
That’s an interesting point you bring up about N. I have been adding worm castings to every tea...plus the little bit from other elements added (kelp, alfalfa, non meal, etc.). That could be it. I also have not added any myco. I have some RAW in my arsenel(N, P, K, and Ca/Mg) and even though it’s not organic it is each element in its pure and soluble form. I plan on using micro amounts so I can selectively add individual elements as needed.
All good points, appreciate the feedback. Best of luck with your ladies...looking good in flower!
