2/22- We're going to call this Day One for this girl. She was planted directly into the medium of her 10g fabric pot filled with a 70/30 Coco/Perlite mix from Mother Earth that was pre-moistened and up to temperature. I watered her in with approximately 1oz. of 6.5 ph water and placed a clear Solo cup over her. I have the HLG 650R set at 150w and kept it on 24hrs to help keep the medium warm. The tent temperature is maintaining a constant 78-80 degrees F with a RH of 53%. Three days after planting she broke ground and started what I hope will be 10-12 weeks of the kind of growth Barneys Farm is known for!. Once she sprouted and opened up to expose her first leaves I removed the Solo cup to avoid any issues with rot. I'll keep monitoring her several times a day to make sure she's healthy and to water her if necessary. She should really start taking off in the next few days...I can't wait, can you?😍
2/24- Well she's up and has her first real set of leaves. She has a 'runty' appearance, but I'm treating her with TLC in hopes that she'll take off once her roots get more established. 😎🙏 All I'm doing right now is giving her 1-2oz of de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 170ppm's once or twice daily depending on the moisture level of her medium. I fired up the humidifier in the tent to raise the RH to 55%, as our air is cold and extremely dry this time of year (33%RH), which will get the VPD into a better range so the girls can process water/nutrients more efficiently. Tent temp's are a steady 79-80deg. F and I eased the HLG 650R, which is currently hung @48", up to 200w and will monitor to see how she tolerates the additional PAR.
2/27- Really not a lot going on with this girl now. She's not growing very tall yet but looks very healthy. I'm continuing to monitor her several times a day, keeping a watch over her medium's moisture content, tent temps and RH with the hope that she'll get her roots developing and start to gain some height. I'm watering daily with de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.3-6.6 @75-78deg. with just enough to keep the medium directly around the seedling moist but not wet.
2/28- So long Week One! I'm glad it's behind me, onward to Bigger and Better! She's finally starting to show signs of some vertical growth, which hopefully is an indicator that her roots are finally starting to develop. I'm watering her daily in the morning just after 'daybreak' with de-chlorinated straight water ph'd to 6.3-6.6 @ 74-77deg. Up until now I have been just watering the immediate 6" diameter area around the seedling but today I started wetting the entire surface of her 10g pot to ensure that her roots will have moist medium to grow into as she matures ensuring the explosive root growth (courtesy of Great White Myco) I'm hoping for to produce an exceptional cultivar!
Thanks for hanging in for this week! Things should be getting a lot more interesting in the coming weeks...Stay tuned and Stay Blessed! 😎🙏
*as a side note, I tried germinating FOUR different Glue Gelato seeds from Barney's using THREE different methods (directly in medium/24hr soak then into medium/paper towel) and NONE😧 of them germinated which really SUCKS as I was looking forward to cultivating that strain😪. I had three 3pk's of those seeds and upon checking, they're all from the same Lot # so idk if it was a systemic issue, or just my dumb ass. Regardless, I'm not wasting more time on them and will germinate a different cultivar in its place.
Well here we go into Week One of Veg! 👏😎With a week of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake is doing waaay better and sprouting her 2nd set of leaves which is such a beautiful sight to see! Thank you for following along this journey with me! Growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed, top dressed every 3-4 weeks and weekly Compost Tea's.
3/1- I'm watering her twice daily with de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 74-76deg. 200ppm. Today I added 2.5ml/g of Botanicare CalMag+ to her watering. I'm using a pump sprayer with a hose and wand attached that has a fine spray head on it now. When I water I am just giving enough right now to keep the soil moist, not wet, in the upper half of her pot as her roots haven't developed and penetrated to that point yet. As she matures and her root system develops into the monster I'm hoping for, I'll increase the amount of water she receives to ensure that the microbial colony thrives. Tent temp's are maintaining 78-80deg during the light cycle and 72-74deg for their 5 hour dark period. RH in the 4x4 range from 47-55% and the co2 level from 460-530ppm. I've got the HLG 650R's hung all the way up @ 42" now and have them set to 200w at the wall each. I'll be slowly dropping the light as she gets bigger and can tolerate the additional intensity without getting stressed. Later, in pre-flower, I'll switch the supplemental UVA Bar on to really boost trichome production and terpenes during flowering!
3/3- Watered today with .25g each de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 with 1tbsp/g of Wild Alaskan Fish liquid added to give a little nutrition to the microbes. I'll follow up this weekend with some added unsulfured molasses to give the microbial colonies some more goodies to feast on. Gotta keep the microbes happy as they are responsible for providing nutrition for the plants, take care of your microbes and they'll take care of the plants! The tent temp's are maintaining 78-80 degrees during the light cycle and 72-74 degrees for their 5 hour dark period. RH in the Gorilla 4x8 range from 47-55% and the co2 level from 460-530ppm. The little girl is healthy and she's SLOWLY getting taller by the day. She is approaching a little over 1" now and I anticipate her taking off really soon. We'll have to wait and see how long her 'legs' turn out to be! 😎🙏
* Side note: I tried unsuccessfully FOUR times to germinate a Glue Gelato Auto from the same breeder as this strain. I used every method - directly in medium, soaked for 24hrs then planted in medium, soaked for 24hrs. then placed in wet paper towel and placed directly in wet paper towel. I finally gave up on any further attempts. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I checked the Lot #'s on the seed packs and they are all the same.😐
3/5- Day 12 and she's finally starting to gain some height. She's in the process of sprouting her third 'true' set of leaves which should have five 'fingers' on them. I went ahead and added 5ml/g of Alaskan Fish Extract 5-1-1 to her water which was de-chlorinated and ph'd to 6.4 @ 76deg. 400ppm. I'm using the pump sprayer with the spray head set to a fairly fine cone. I'm giving her .25g twice a day keeping the medium moist all the way through to the bottom of the medium. I've found that if the roots encounter 'dry' medium it rapidly pisses off cannabis cultivars, ESPECIALLY autoflowers, so we're not going to explore that scenario....we're staying moist, not wet! 😁 I anticipate, based on her current rate of growth, that she's more than likely not going to be a very large cultivar. Not to mention at 12 days old, she's the smallest cultivar out of 12 in the current runs!!. I'd really like to see this girl veg for as looong as possible before starting to flower, which should help her overall size and conversely, her yield!....we'll have to see what happens won't we?😎🙏
3/7- Week One of veg is here and gone and the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto has come to life! This girl has great color and her structure, while not perfect, is looking better than I'd hoped.
I've added nightly foliar feeding to her schedule and she looks to be enjoying it! Her water intake continues @ 0.5g of de-chlorinated well water daily which is ph'd to 6.4-6.5 @ 74deg. after any additives (Fox Farm Wholly Mackerel, Botanicare CalMag+) are mixed in using either Alchemist PH Down or General Hydroponics PH Up which are diluted in 2 cups of water before being added to the remaining water.
This dilution before addition prevents any chemical reaction that might occur from adding the PH Up/PH Down straight into the water that has nutrients in it, which would possibly have negative affects on the plant.
Hopefully if her growth continues through next week, as I'm anticipating, I'll be able to start thinking about LST on her to increase her yield. We'll have to wait and see what the next couple of weeks bring!
😎🙏 Thank you for tagging along so far! Things should be getting more interesting as the coming weeks approach! I'm excited...are you? See you next week! 😎👍
Well here we go into Week Two of Veg! 👏😎 With two weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great, up to 2 1/2" and sprouting her 4th set of leaves which means if she keeps her growth up, LST will start soon for this girl!

3/8- I must say this Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto started off pretty shaky, but she has turned the corner and is starting to really look like she might turn out to be a winner!
I'm continuing to water twice daily with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water that is ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 74 degrees with an EC of 0.2-0.4. Every other day I'm adding 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel and twice weekly adding 3ml/g of Botanicare CalMag+. Tomorrow she'll be getting her first Compost Tea {Wiggle Worm Castings/Alfalfa Meal/Kelp Meal/Unsulfured Molasses and a small amount of Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 dry amendment and 1 scoop of Great White Mycorrhiza} that I started yesterday, of which she'll receive 0.5g of... She should love it!😍
I am also continuing to give her nightly Foliar feedings via spray bottle just before the dark period with Fox Farms Flower Kiss which she's digging!
Insofar as environmental conditions, the tent temperatures remain a consistent 68-78 degrees with the RH running 50-55% currently and the co2 levels going from 500ppm's on the low end to 900 on the high side. The HLG 650Ris currently @ 40" above canopy pulling 300w at the wall. I'll crank up the 650R some more as her growth progresses. Lastly, when she starts pre-flower I'll start supplementing additional co2 up to 1200ppm's.
The biggest challenge when growing indoors organically with 10g pots is providing just the right amount of water as you want the medium throughout the ENTIRE pot to be moist (not wet) to give the root system every opportunity to spread throughout the medium all the way to the sides and bottom (or close to it). That said, keeping up with adequate watering is a challenge, but extremely essential for optimal plant growth.
With a 10g pot FILLED with a root mass you WILL get enormous results provided all other factors are kept on point....and that's the KEY! Perfect environmental conditions, proper feeding and watering, good genetics and a HUGE root system (1200ppm's of additional co2 helps a bunch too!) = Monster Cannabis!💪😎
3/10- The Wedding Cake Auto received her first Compost Tea yesterday and it looks like she loved it! (knew she would...lol!). I gave her approx. 1/2g of tea, fed to her gradually to allow the medium to absorb the tea.
I also began LST to get a handle on her before she gets away from me. With a tent full I try to keep everyone manageable as possible.
Her color continues to slowly improve and her vigor continues to be excellent. The holes that appeared on her first leaf set are a thing of the past and no sign of any further issues atm.
The temp's in the Gorilla 4x8 are running 72-80 degrees with a 45-50% RH which is perfect for her right now. The HLG 650R is @ 40" and pulling 300w at the wall which is just under half power. 😎👍
3/12- Well she is 19 Days old today! My girl is on a growth spurt, approaching almost 4'' tall, and sprouting her fifth set of leaves which are almost fully out . Her next set of leaves are visible and should be out in a day or two as her health continues to improve daily. I still can't figure out what her issue was early on with her SLOWWW start, but as long as she continues in the direction she's on I think we'll have a very nice looking mature plant!
She continues to receive nightly foliar feeding with Fox Farms Flower Kiss mixed @ 5ml/g and applied just before the 5 hour dark period. Daily watering's continue with de-chlorinated water which has 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel added to it, then it's ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 70deg. with a 0.4 EC.
The HLG 650R is 40" above her and set to 300w at the wall. Tent temperatures are a steady 80.1 degrees thanks to my AC Infinity Cloudline T6 w/ Controller which is set to maintain the 80 degree temp. automatically by varying the fan speed....Works like a charm! 😎👍 RH in the 4x8 is 45-55% and all fans are running now as well as the IdealAir 14k BTU A/C unit. Next week I will lower the light to 38" and increase the wattage to 350 at the wall.
3/14- Well there goes another week behind us on this journey to dank, sticky buds!
My girl continues to sprout new growth and continues on her rebound to healthy growth!. She apparently has settled into her medium as her growth has really improved and she is just about 95% back to where she should be.
I'm continuing to water her daily with .50g of de-chlorinated water which has 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel added, then was ph'd to 6.6 @ 72 degrees 0.4 EC using Alchemist PH Down which was diluted before being added to the solution. Her nightly foliar feedings using Fox Farms Flower Kiss @ 5ml/g just before the 5 hour dark cycle continues as well and she looks to be thoroughly enjoying it! 😍
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey through the next weeks as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~
Well here we go into Week Three of Veg! 👏😎 With three weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great and sprouting new growth everyday. Her growth is really starting to explode!. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏
~Grown 100% organic in a 10g fabric pot with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium amended with 2tbs/g Down To Earth 4-4-4 / 2 cups/g Earthworm Castings / 1tbs/g Dr. Earth Flower Girl 2-8-4 and 1tbs/g Dr. Earth Bat Guano.
~24hr light cycle during germination / 19/5 light cycle for Veg & Flower
~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed, top dressed every 3-4 weeks and weekly Compost Tea's.
3/15- Week Three of veg....now things will get interesting fast now that she has settled down from whatever was pissing her off in the beginning her vigor and overall health have gone from so-so to very good!
I've topped her once and she's under LST keeping her spread out to allow all those side branches to reach up to the HLG 650R and make BIG cola's!
She continues to receive nightly foliar feeding with Fox Farms Flower Kiss mixed @ 5ml/g and applied just before the 5 hour dark period. Daily watering's continue with de-chlorinated water to which I'm now alternating adding 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel to for a feed and then switching to Fox Farms Microbe Brew @ 5ml/g and Fox Farms Big Bloom (OMRI organic) @ 10ml/g then each is ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 72deg. with a 0.4 EC 350-400ppm.
I'll be top dressing her later this week with her first organic dry amendments. I'll be giving her a 60/40 mix of 4-4-4 and 3-9-4 @ 2 tbsp. per gallon of medium worked in by hand, then watered in. This should really give her a much needed boost for her upcoming pre-flower stretch!
I removed the pot riser from her and when I water I soak the pot thoroughly, but not to the point of runoff. Twice a week when I water I add water to the tray under the pot to let her draw up the liquid into her pot to ensure that the medium is moist throughout for her roots to grow into!
3/17- The Wedding Cake Auto received a heavy watering yesterday in two portions. First, at the start of the light cycle, I gave her .5 gallon of de-chlorinated water with 5ml/g Botanicare CalMag+ and 5ml/g Botanicare Silica Blast added, then ph'd to 6.5 @72 degrees using Alchemist PH Down to make the adjustment. This watering was given through the bottom of her pot by filling the drip pan and letting the fabric pot draw up the liquid into it, giving the medium in the lower half of the pot some much needed moisture for the growing root systems. The second watering at mid-day was given through the top of the pot via pump sprayer which was filled with the identical solution used to water earlier, she received .25g.
Foliar feedings continue 4-5 nights a week and I can see a noticeable improvement in her overall appearance as a result of the foliar feedings.
I have the HLG 650R cranked up to 400w at the wall now and still hung @ 40" above canopy which resulted in the tent temp's rising slightly requiring the IdealAir AC unit's thermostat to be lowered to compensate.
I have the AC Infinity Cloudline T6 fan with Controller set on 'Auto Hi Temp' with it set to 79 degrees. It's been doing fantastic, adjusting the fans speed automatically, keeping tent temperatures no higher than 80.1 degrees with a RH of 55%. The AutoPilot co2 Controller is now set to a 900ppm setpoint, with a 100ppm window setpoint which has the co2 levels running 800-1000ppm's in the Gorilla 4x8.
At this point I'm just maintaining her water and training daily, watching her rapid growth and anxiously awaiting signs of pre-flower which I hope will not be too soon allowing her to gain size which appears to not be an issue as she's already getting huge!... How much FUN this is! 😍
3/19- She's continuing her phenomenal growth rate and has such a perfect structure (Thank you Barneys Farm Genetics!), Picture perfect! Tons of new growth, tight node spacing and thick branches are going to make for an exceptional example of this exciting cultivar once she's done!
Daily watering's continue with de-chlorinated water to which I'm now alternating adding 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel to for a feed along with Fox Farms Kelp Me Kelp You @ 0.25tsp per gallon then is ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 72deg. with a 0.4 EC 350-400ppm.
Her nightly foliar feedings with Fox Farms Flower Kiss mixed @ 5ml/g continue and are applied just before the 5 hour dark period.
3/21- I decided to go ahead and top dress my girl with organic dry amendments today.
I used Dr. Earth Premium 4-4-4 and Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 @ 2 tbsp. per gallon of medium, with a ratio of 43%/57% respectively, which I spread around in her pot and then worked it into the top layer of medium by hand. After working it in, I watered it in thoroughly with .75g of de-chlorinated water with 5ml/g of Fox Farms Microbe Brew added to further inoculate the medium with beneficial bacteria and mycorrhiza which should really give a boost to my lady as she gets ready to go into pre-flower.
Well here we go with Week Three of veg behind us and now there's nothing but excitement from here on out!.
Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls starting pre-flower... Grow Strong! 😎🙏
Well here we go into Week Four of Veg! 👏😎 With four weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great and sprouting new growth everyday. Her growth continues to explode and she's turned out to be the biggest 4 week old so far!.
3/22- Well Week Four of veg is here and the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto just keeps chugging along. She's not showing any signs of pre-flower yet which means she's going to get big. I'm thankful that I decided to top dress her yesterday as the dry amendments are slow release which will start providing nutrients right at the time when she'll need them the most!
Her color and vigor remain on point and she's got some huge shade leaves for a 4 week old. She'll need them to absorb all that HLG 650R love coming from above! I've also been checking leaf temp's with a laser and they're running around 74-76 degrees F.
After the heavy watering in of her top dress yesterday her pot was still HEAVY so I'm not watering today to give her pot an opportunity to dry out some as the last thing I want is her to have 'wet feet' which will lead to root rot and an anaerobic condition in the medium...no bueno!
The Gorilla 4x8 temp's are running in the mid 70's during the light cycle and drop to the upper 60's when the HLG 650R (which is pulling 400w at the wall now) is off. RH is currently at 50-55% to try and keep the VPD numbers in a decent range.
3/24- I'm spending most of my time with her now gently training her branches using Engineering Essentials Training Clips (which work FANTASTIC!), stressing her a little as possible, and watering as she's into Pre-flower and more or less on auto-pilot. I checked the moisture level of her pot this morning, it was moist in the upper 2/3 but dry in the bottom.
I watered her from the bottom giving her 0.5g of de-chlorinated water with 0.25ml/g of Fox Farms Microbe Brew which was ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees F with a 0.4 EC 200ppm pouring it into her drip tray letting the pot draw in the water it needs, which it did in about 5 minutes.
She's coming along better now and obviously was not adversely affected by her slow start as she's a monster in the making now!. Her color continues a dark, healthy green and she remains vigorous, constantly putting out new growth.
3/26- My girl continues to impress me by the day with new growth and really good looking color overall. I've plucked a few leaves here and there that were blocking light penetration and continue to gently coax her branches down twice daily to keep her as spread out as possible.
She has entered pre-flower and will be stretching her ass off now so I'll be staying on top of everything, making sure water/nutrients/environment are all on point and remain there!
Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to her in the morning. Foliar feeding before lights out continues every other night with Fox Farms Flower Kiss @ 3ml/g.
3/28- So long Week 4! OMG...Forget anything bad I may have said about these Barneys Farm genetics. This Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto has turned into an absolutely phenomenal specimen with gorgeous color, structure and growth rate she'll be hard to beat! I'm BLOWN AWAY!
My girl is in pre-flower and continues her vigorous growth rate, having completely recovered from her earlier issues. When I train her branches down the recovery time is phenomenal, looking like I never touched them 2 hours later!
Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to her first thing in the morning after the light comes on. Foliar feeding before lights out continues every other night.
Her water intake has increased slightly and I've been dividing her watering up to twice daily, with the second watering 10 hours into the light cycle, to keep up with her needs.
I spend the majority of my time 'tucking & plucking' leaves and making sure the environment stays as close to on point as possible for her.
As I've said, I'm so impressed by how this cultivar has turned out that I will definitely have a spot in my future runs for Barneys Farm genetics, both autoflower AND photo's! 😍👍
Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls starting pre-flower... Grow Strong! 😎🙏
Well it's been fun watching her go through veg, and now she's going into flower and getting ready to really strut her stuff! 😍 With five weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great, has fantastic structure, color and continues to impress me.. Her comeback and development have been noteworthy and she's turned out to be one of the biggest 5 week old's so far!. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed, top dressed every 3-4 weeks and weekly Compost Tea's.
3/29- Here we go into pre-flower and stretching to the light! My lady's structure is really looking phenomenal and really doesn't require much maintenance at all at this point. With her wide node spacing and an almost sativa appearance, she has plenty of light penetration throughout her entire canopy all the way to the medium which will help her flower development.
The HLG 650R is now pulling 450w at the wall and remains 38" above canopy. Temperatures, RH and VPD all are gtg and on point with 'daytime' temps at a constant 76 degrees @ 50% RH, dropping to 65 degrees during the dark period.
Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to her first thing in the morning after the light comes on. Foliar feeding before lights out continues every other night.
3/31- I plucked 2-3 leaves that were too stubborn to tuck out of the way to maintain light penetration. I love how she's growing...very 'low maintenance'!
When I checked her pot's moisture this morning she was still pretty moist so I'll wait until later today and check her visually and her medium with a meter to determine whether to water her or wait until tomorrow morning to water her.
When I do water her she'll get 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC as always, and of course her nighttime foliar sprays continue three nights a week.
4/2- The Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto has fully bounced back from her defoliation 3 days ago (it was mild as she's got wide node spacing) and you really can't tell I did anything at all (I'm so leery about stripping autoflowers too much and this always happens to me 😜).
I'm letting her tell me what she needs now. I'm closely monitoring her, watering when she show signs of needing it (leaves JUST starting to droop) and nutrients (when her color JUST starts to be not as vibrant). Right now she is doing phenomenally and is STILL putting out new growth at a crazy pace!!
When I'm watering her it is with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC and I'm watering her pot through the top, allowing time for the medium to slowly absorb it, avoiding any runoff.
I also placed the pot riser back under her to avoid the possibility of an anaerobic condition to develop from the bottom of the pot staying wet, which could cause all kinds of issues including Root Rot.
This weekend I will top dress her with 2 cups of Wiggle Worm Castings and then water it in with 0.50g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC.
I'll run an air pump with air stones in it to oxygenate the water which REALLY helps keep the environment in the medium aerobic, which both the roots and microbes LOVE!
When I water in the castings I'll add 2 tbsp. per gallon of Grandma's Unsulfured Molasses to the water which will supercharge the microbes!
4/4- I top dressed her with 2 cups of Wiggle Worm castings and watered it in with 0.50g straight de-chlorinated water to which I added 1/4 tsp/g of Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 400ppm 0.8 EC to really give the medium/microbes a huge boost and a BIG PK bump which will result in one happy Wedding Cake Auto!
This morning my girl looked absolutely VIBRANT with beautiful color and leaves all praying (and I mean PRAYING...like pointing straight up!). 😎👌 She must have really enjoyed the PK boost from yesterday huh?! When I checked her medium was still fairly moist so I held off with the AM watering and will take a look at her this afternoon and see whether she wants a drink or not...she'll tell me!
Well it's really been a great week, the Wedding Cake Auto is in flower and is stacking nicely with some nice frost forming. Next week promises to be just as, if not more, exciting so stay tuned for all the action! 😍
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with my girl into flower now... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~
Week Two of flower...are we having fun yet?! 😍 With six weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great, has fantastic structure, color and continues to impress me.. Her comeback and development have been noteworthy and she's turned out to be a really beautiful cultivar that I'm glad I decided to germinate!.
4/5- Week 2 of flower and this is one HAPPY girl! She's healthy and Her shade leaves are pointing literally straight up 'praying all the time! She's currently @ 15" tall and has that great node spacing I just love along with a ton of flower sites all over them which are starting to show some frost on them...I can't wait!!!
I've switched up her feeding slightly with the addition of Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz and Open Sesame which are given alternately three days a week. In addition, I'm now supplementing her water once a week each with Unsulfured Molasses and Honey @ 2 tbsp/g and 2 tsp/g respectively. The Molasses gives a boost to the microbial colony as well as being loaded with essential minerals and micro-nutrients that the plants love. The Honey really promotes healthy root systems and is a natural anti-bacterial which I've used for decades with tremendous success!
I now have the HLG 650R (hung 38" above canopy) pulling 520w at the wall and will wait to give her max power when I start adding UVA more than likely by the end of this week. Adding UVA for 4 hours in the middle of the light cycle for the last 2-3 weeks of flower really turns on the trichome production and, although I can't prove it yet, has possible positive effects on the terpenes as well.
Environmentally, the 'daytime' temp's are a steady 77.4 degrees F and drop to 65 degrees F during the 'nighttime'. The RH is staying around 42-46% which I'd like to be higher to lower the VPD but as healthy and happy as she is... I'll let it ride! I also put the riser back under her pot to ensure that the bottom of the fabric pot gets adequate airflow preventing a possible anaerobic condition from the roots not getting any oxygen, therefore killing them (it only takes 20 minutes of oxygen deprivation to kill cannabis roots! Keep this in mind when watering...don't drown your roots!). 😎👍
4/7- This morning my girl looked absolutely VIBRANT with beautiful color and leaves all praying! Her flowers are covered in trichomes already and she's getting frostier by the day! When I checked her medium was still fairly moist so I held off with the AM watering and will take a look at her this afternoon and see whether she wants a drink or not...she'll tell me!
4/9- The 'Frost Queen' cometh! Man O' Man this lady is putting out some trichomes now and still has a way to go! She's still @ 15" and is 'praying' non-stop, has awesome color and like I mentioned...the FROST!
Her feeding continues with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz and Open Sesame which are given alternately three days a week. In addition, I'm also continuing to supplement her water once a week with Unsulfured Molasses and Honey alternately @ 2 tbsp/g and 2 tsp/g respectively.
The HLG 650R (hung 38" above canopy) is now cranked up to max power and is pulling 660w at the wall and I've start adding UVA for 4 hours in the middle of the light cycle to really turn on the trichome production on her... which seems to be working!
4/11- Week two of flower has come and gone! The Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is 50 days old now and will go 70-75 days...maybe a bit longer, we'll have to wait and see!.
I watered her with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz added @ 0.5 tsp/g and Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC
I'll be switching her over to straight water during her last week or so to help her use up any nutrients in her and hopefully bring out some beautiful colors in this phenomenal cultivar!
Well, there goes this week...next week will usher in Week Three of flower and the trichome production should be off the hook! If you think this lady looks amazing now... wait a week or two when she REALLY starts to strut her stuff!!!😍
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach as the flowering gets more intense... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~
Week Three of flower...are we having fun yet?! 😍 With seven weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great, has fantastic structure, color and continues to impress me.. Her comeback and development have been noteworthy and she's turned out to be a really beautiful cultivar that I'm glad I decided to germinate!. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

4/12- We're starting the week off with a 'no water' day as when I checked her pot this morning it was fairly heavy. Today was just turn her pot 1/4 turn, 'tuck-n-pluck' a couple of shade leaves and monitor temp's in the tent.
We're in-between seasons now and on warm days the grow room A/C unit has a difficult time keeping the tent below 80 degrees with the HLG 650R now cranked up to full power pulling 660w at the wall. On the warmest days I have been cranking the light back to 400w later in the afternoon, which is the warmest part of the day, which seems to help a lot. Once I turn on the main A/C, the grow room A/C will have no problem keeping tent temp's at 77-78 degrees max., which I'll be doing sooner than later with summer fast approaching!
4/14- I solved the temperature issue in the tent! I determined that my 4x4 did not really require any supplemental cooling and I wasn't happy with the amount of airflow coming from the IdealAir 14k btu portable A/C unit I use to cool the tents.
So I disconnected all of the ducting hoses from the A/C and removed them from the tent. Then, I cut a 5 7/8" circular hole in the right side door of the 4x8 and placed the A/C unit facing the tent. I fabricated an air collector from sheet metal that grabs all the cool air coming out of the front of the unit and puts it through a circular 6" short extension tube which I inserted into the hole I made in the tent door.
This puts ALL of the cool air directly into the 4x8 where it's circulated by the two 18" Hurricane fans and two 6" clip-on fans which now has temperatures running 78-79 deg. max with the HLG 650R's at max power pulling 660w at the wall each...I'm so relieved to get this issue under control with flowering occurring so that I can keep temp's in the ideal range to aide in trichome production and getting that beautiful fade and coloration as they finish!
My girl recieved her usual watering of 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Open Sesame added @ 0.5 tsp/g and Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC which she is doing well on, showing no signs of any issues.
Her color, vigor and overall health remain consistently on point and she is going crazy stacking her beautiful flowers that are now absolutely covered in sparkling trichomes that are coating the shade leaves as well!
4/16- Yesterday was a 'dry' day as her 10g fabric pot was still pretty heavy so I continued with the daily routine of checking the moisture level of the medium, feeding when needed and turning her pot 1/4 turn twice daily to expose as much of her to as much light as possible!
Today she recieved 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Open Sesame added @ 0.5 tsp/g and Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC.
4/18- Week three of flower is in the rear view mirror and my sights are set on finishing this fine ass frost queen out and see what she'll do!
Watering continued today with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. and gave her pot a 1/4 turn.
The HLG 650R is now at max, pulling 660w at the wall, and I'm adding UVA for 4 hours in the middle of the 19 hour light cycle via a HLG UVA30 supplemental light bar which is attached to the 650R's underside. I'd like to think the UVA has had something to do with the copious amount of trichomes this lady's pumping out....ridiculous!!! 😜
It's been a great week for this lady and I foresee an epic fourth week coming up! Be sure to check in on the progress as things heat up and move closer to the finish!
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the final weeks of flower are here... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~
Week Four of flower and this lady is gettin right! 😍 With eight weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great, has fantastic structure, color and continues to impress me.. Her comeback and development have been noteworthy and she's turned out to be a really beautiful cultivar that I'm glad I decided to germinate!. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

4/19- Week FOUR of flower's here and man-o-man is this girl looking SWEET!
I watered her with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz added @ 0.75 tsp/g and raw honey @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC.
With roughly two weeks to go on this 75 day cultivar I've been giving her 4hrs/day of supplemental UVA during the middle of her 19/5 cycle and I'll be switching her to Fox Farms Cha Ching on her next feed.
Now, this girl's on autopilot and all I'm doing is making sure she's watered, fed and has her pot turned daily...that's it, easy peasy lemon squeezy!
~💚HAPPY 420 EVERYONE!!!💚~ Have a happy and lifted day!...and don't forget to 'pay it forward' 😎🙏
4/21- The 'Frost Queen' is a beast! She continues to stack her flowers forming some beautiful cola's and she has an intoxicating fruity aroma coming off her!
I watered/fed her with her usual 0.75g of dechlorinated water to which I've now switched to and added, Fox Farms Cha Ching @ 0.75 tsp/g, and 0.5 tsp/g of raw honey, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. I also gave her pot a 1/4 turn.
4/23- Today she recieved .75g of de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Cha Ching @ 0.75 tsp/g, Fox Farms Microbe Brew @ 0.5 tsp/g and Fox Farms Kelp Me Kelp You @ 0.5 tsp/g which with my starting ph of 7.4, brings the ph to a perfect 6.5!
Gotta love it when you don't have to adjust the final ph...awesome! I also rotated her 10g fabric pot 1/4 turn.
She's only a 70-75 day strain and with 62+/- on the books she doesn't have far to go. I'll be switching her out to straight de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Sledgehammer added every third watering @ 2 tsp/g to flush her and bring out her gorgeous colors!
4-25- 💥BOOM!💥 Week eight, along with Week Four of flower are history! This girl's on a mission and has about a week left in her! She's started her fade and has developed the most beautiful coloration in her flowers with purples, pinks and reds becoming prominent now.
I'm watering her when she needs it with 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Sledgehammer added @ 2tsp/g, then ph'd to 6.7 @ 71deg.
Environmentally, the tent temperatures are maxing out during the light cycle at 79 deg. and I'm running them down to the mid 50's during the 5 hour dark period, which has really helped with her coloration.
Well next week will be her final stand before going dark for 72hrs. (which I do with all my plants before hanging) as she's just about ready. I'm checking her trichomes daily and they're at 90% milky / 5% clear / 5% amber....she's close!
For those wondering about my practice of placing them 3 days in the dark. What I have found, through experimenting with different times/temperatures is the stress of the extended dark period, especially if the temperatures are kept 55-60 deg., causes the plant to go into 'survival mode'. It gets the plant thinking that winter is approaching and it needs to get fertilized... like NOW! As a result, the plant produces more trichomes to increase the odds of male pollen being captured, and also as a 'protection mechanism' when stressed.
Well, it's been an awesome week and I'm anxious to watch her make her final push before harvest. I hope you've had half as much fun as I've had so far on this grow diary! 💚
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be wrapping up as this beautiful Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto reaches her finale... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~
Week Five of flower and this lady is almost finished! 😍 With nine weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto is doing great, has fantastic structure, color and is for lack of a better word, impressive... Her comeback and development have been noteworthy and she's turned out to be a really beautiful cultivar that I'm glad I decided to germinate!. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

4/26- Today she recieved .75g of de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Sledgehammer added @ 2tsp/g, then ph'd to 6.7 @ 71deg. and had her pot turned.
I checked her trichomes today...not quite!
4-28- I checked her pot this morning and she's still pretty heavy so we'll let her ride on water today and just take a few pic's and give her pot a spin.
I'll be putting her in the dark for 2-3 days at the end of this week, which should put her right around 10 weeks +/- a day at harvest time which is 10-15 days longer than the breeders info, but that why they're called estimates. I ALWAYS let the plants tell me when they're ready to be harvested, as well as everything else they may need!
4/30- Well, after checking her trichomes yesterday, I decided it was time for her to go dark!
I went ahead and gave her 1g of straight dechlorinated water ph'd to 6.7 to carry her through the next couple of days and to finish her flush.
She'll be spending 2-3 days in the 4x4 with the fans running. The 4x4 tent temp's are ranging in the upper 60's to 74℉ with a 42% RH.
Stay tuned, next entry will be on 5/2 with the harvest and getting her hung up to dry!
5/2- Well, I was busy with harvesting my other tent so she spent a total of four days in the dark. I took her out this evening, shot some pic's of her, then chopped her off at her base and hung her whole in my now empty 4x4. My Drying Room is currently full so I'm doing the best that I can to keep the conditions in the 4x4 in a decent range. The temp's in the tent are in the mid 70℉ range and the RH is @ 45% (I'm running a humidifier in the tent along with a small fan on the floor to circulate the air) which I'd prefer to be higher (thus the reason for hanging whole - slow down the drying)to prevent the plant from drying too fast. She should be ready in 10 days or so!
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be wrapping up as this beautiful Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Auto reaches her finale... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~
This strain is super easy to grow, is resistant to disease, and produces the FIRE🔥. After 72 days from seed, 72 hours in the dark and 12 days hanging I was rewarded with a total of almost 136g of which over 112g was of supremely frosty, sticky as hell buds so covered in trichomes that when you attempt to break one up, you're left with your fingers covered in resin and flower.
Being my first attempt at this strain and now that I'm familiar with its wants and needs I’m sure I could get an even higher yield than this time on my next attempt!
I'm always trying to hit a gram per light as my 'Holy Grail', but that 'bar' continues to elude me. In the future I'll be looking forward to growing this strain again and see if I can squeeze a higher yield from it.
When you look at the buds the first thing that hits you is the insane amount of trichomes covering them! I generally like to let my buds cure for 2-3 months but I made an exception and fired up a 'test bud'. On the inhale you get a very sweet and creamy sensation, upon exhaling you can taste the sweet berries from her that lingers on you tongue for a good while....delicious! She hits you hard and fast with her high THC levels giving an instant feeling of euphoria that quickly turns to extreme relaxation as you consume more.
Did I mention that this is one of the frostiest strains I've grown in awhile? I can't wait to press some of this and see what kind of returns it gives...I'm willing to bet they'll be epic!!
The buds from this strain are extremely heavy, dense and covered in trichomes, just what we all look for! The combination of high quality flowers, heavy yields, and ease of growing make Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Autoflower an awesome strain for new growers or anyone looking for a phenomenal cultivar to grow. 😎👍

This was my first experience cultivating genetics by Barneys Farm and I must say they certainly didn't disappoint!
She had a bit of a rough start, having really slow growth the first week. By Week Two her roots were getting established and her growth took off from there!
I started LST on Day 17, then topped her once on Day 19. The LST continued throughout the grow cycle and with her node spacing defoliation was never really needed.
This cultivar had some of the hardest 'praying' leaves I've seen, sticking almost vertically straight up, that maintained an excellent dark green color until the end when she went into a beautiful fade!
This Wedding Cake Auto has a big appetite and isn't shy about her water either! Once in flower she was getting fed up to 1.4 EC @ 1g per day, getting flushed every three weeks.
Once she started to flower, within the first week trichomes were already becoming visible on her flowers and she continued with insane trichome production throughout flower earning her the nickname of 'Frost Queen'!
This strain is listed by Barneys Farm as a 70-75 day cultivar and were on point as she was ready at Day 72 from seed / Day 42 of flower.
I put her in the dark for 72 hours to stress her and boost trichome production. Once out of the dark, I chopped her off at her base and hung her whole in my 4x4 with a small fan running to circulate the air and also ran the exhaust fan/carbon filter.
She hung for 12 days during which I kept the temperatures in the tent between 67-74℉ and the RH at 50-55%.
After taking her down, I trimmed her up and ended up with a total of almost 5oz. of which 118g were some of the most beautiful, frost covered buds I've seen in awhile!
What more can I say... Barneys Farm Wedding Cake Autoflower aka 'The Frost Queen', I'm in 💗💗💗!
All in all this was an excellent learning experience for me with new genetics! The Wedding Cake Auto will absolutely have a spot in my future runs, was an extremely easy to grow and beautiful cultivar from the experts at Barneys Farm... Plant some and see if you don't agree!
Looking good 🙏🏻
Best of luck on the grow and diary 🍁🍀❤️
Great choice definitely one i would like 👍🏻
Happy growing #420 ❤️
I predict some frosty nugs ❄️
