Skywalker (FFS Grow)

👉🏽 3/1 (Day 1): Emerged early morning (after 39 hours) with seed coat--since removed--clinging to stem and leaves. Light height set at 1 m, intensity just above 50%. 24 hours prior to placing germinated seeds in pot, the pots (3 gal.) were watered to runoff with 2 l/pot; Voodoo Juice added. Will be following TaNg's easy auto feeding schedule, adding B-52 during veg, Voodoo Juice, Great White mycorrhizae (top-dressed bi-weekly), Big Bud, Carboload, Bud Candy, and Cal-Mag (when needed.) 👉🏽 Day 7 (3/7): Watered: 1.5 l with Voodoo Juice, B-52, and Great White. The stalk has become sturdier and doesn't lean heavily on pipe cleaner prop; she stretched quite a bit early on. This is my first time growing such an indica-dominant plant. 👉🏽 Day 15 (3/15): Responding well to first dose of nutrients. Grew 1.5 inches in one day! Will stay at .5 ml/l for Sensi Bloom A&B for one more watering before bumping it up to .75 ml/l. 👉🏽 Day 16 (3/16): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B and CalMag. All is well; healthy and hearty so far. 👉🏽 Day 17 (3/17): First pre-flowers have appeared. Still hungry for Mg and will up the dose from .25-.5 ml/l. 👉🏽 Day 19 (3/19): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (.75 ml/l) and CalMag (.5 ml/l). She's just a pleasure to grow. 👉🏽 Day 22 (3/22): First pistils appeared. Leaf tucking continues. Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag, with a top dress of Great White. 👉🏽 Day 23 (3/23): There's some ultra-minor lightening of the tips on the new growth, but I'm going to keep her at 1 ml/l, which seems like a sweet spot. The CalMag is working great. 👉🏽 Day 24 (3/24): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag. Removed some fan leaves that weren't getting any light. 👉🏽 Day 26 (3/26): Watered with same nutrient levels. Seems happy. 🤞🏽 👉🏽 Day 28 (3/28): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag. 👉🏽 Day 29 (3/29): All good. She's taken well to the (accidentally) aggressive defoliation. 👉🏽 Day 30 (3/30): Watered with first dose of Big Bud; will give Voodoo juice until around Day 45. Grew 1" in 24 hours, and the stretch may be slowing 🌿 👉🏽 Day 32 (4/1): Watered with first dose of Carboload. 1" growth. Defoliated a few more bud sides up to two nodes on stems. 👉🏽 Day 34 (4/3): Watered and minor defoliation of 50/50 leaves. Humidifier crisis from previous day solved. 👉🏽 Day 36 (4/5): Watered, using CalMag from GO rather than Botanicare. (Wanted to reduce amount of N in feedings.) 👉🏽 Day 38 (4/7): Watered with a top-dress of Great White, still keeping the Big Bud at .25 ml/l. because of tentmate's sensitivity. Hoping to get some good initial flower development so that I can up it to .5 ml/l with confidence. 👉🏽 Day 39 (4/8): First sighting of trichomes 😎 👉🏽 Day 40 (4/9): Watered with nutrients and removed a good amount of small lower branches with flowering sites. She reacted very well--no shock or stress. Same height as yesterday, so the stretch might be close to done. . . . 👉🏽 Day 42 (4/11): Water and defoliation day. Upped Big Bud dose and decided against using B-52 (leaf tips are just beginning to lighten). Removed damaged leaves and cut/pinched off lower flowering sites. Showing continued stretch after lights raised to the halfway point between 50-75% (First time using a lux meter and converting to par, hope it pays off!) 👉🏽 Day 43 (4/12): Doing okay with the increased light intensity. Seems to be hungry for N, and I'll be switching over to Overdrive until flushing. Love watching the development 😬 Light fuel smell developing. . . . 👉🏽 Day 44 (4/13): Watered with first dose of Overdrive and is taking well to it. Noticed some Mg spotting and may need to increase CalMag dosage next watering. The stretch is done! 👉🏽 Day 46 (4/15): Watered and filling in nicely. Will up the CalMag & Overdrive next time to help out with some N deficiency. 👉🏽 Day 48 (4/17): Watered and reacting well to higher doses. New leaf and flower growth is dark green with no burnt tips. Added top-dress of Great White; this will be the last time using the myco for this grow. Buds are developing well, and I'll defoliate after the next watering to remove the inward-facing leaves. 👉🏽 Day 51 (4/20): Hope y'all had an excellent day! The smells are coming: gassy, earthy, and woody. Really nice. 👉🏽 Day 53 (4/22): Backed off on the Sensi Bloom A&B due to some tip burn, and will stay there for the time being. May add B-52 at .25 ml/l for next feed just to see if it'll help with bud development. 👉🏽 Day 54 (4/23): Watered and seems to be responding well. All good. 👉🏽 Day 56 (4/25): Watered and defoliated about 25% of leaves (mostly inward-facing); this is one of the bushiest plants I've ever grown, and I know it's going to take a long time to trim later on! Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (.75 ml/l), B-52 (.25 ml/l), CalMag (1 ml/l), Overdrive (1 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). 👉🏽 Day 57 (4/26): Took to yesterday's defoliation pretty well, and is starting to show a little red on the edges of the upper leaves. 👉🏽 Day 58 (4/27): Watered, but decided to end the B-52 since the buds are stacking quickly. Trichomes at about 10% cloudy. 👉🏽 Day 60 (4/29): Just an overall great grow. Watered and removed a few leaves, and hoping for a smooth finish. . . . 🤞🏽 👉🏽 Day 62 (5/1): Watered and removed lower 50/50 leaves, and a whole mess of inward-facing ones. (It's looking like it'll be a long trim job, and I may wet trim this time around.) Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (.75 ml/l), CalMag (1 ml/l), Overdrive (1 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). 👉🏽 Day 64 (5/3): Watered with some minor defoliation of some inward-facing leaves. Stopped adding CalMag, since I think harvest will come in two weeks or so. At about 50% cloudy right now. 👉🏽 Day 66 (5/5): Watered with stepped-down nutrients. Still at around 50% cloudy. 👉🏽 Day 68 (5/7): Watered. Responding well to the gradual step-down in nutrients, and the next watering will just be Overdrive (.25 ml/l). Did some super minor LST to help with airflow, and still working on defoliation. 👉🏽 Day 70 (5/9): Watered with only (and last dose of) Overdrive, with trichomes at around 60% cloudy. Ph'd RO water from here on out. Readjusted LST and defoliated more to increase airflow. I snuck a tester nug for a smoke, and it's a super relaxer with good pain relief (and mild but productive couchlock)! Smell is earthy gas. Things are at about 25% milky. 👉🏽 Day 74 (5/13): Watered and forgot how ph swings in plain RO. Got things sorted out, and the buds are making their final push. 👉🏽 Day 76 (5/15): Watered and tried to capture the nice fade from a few colas. Around 30% milky. 👉🏽 Day 78 (5/17): Watered for the last time and will harvest on either Day 80 or 81, with 24 hours of darkness the day before harvest. Reduced light intensity to 50% due to emergence of white stigmas. Loving the fade and the whole grow experience with this plant. It's a sticky one, for sure. 👉🏽 Day 81 (5/20): Harvest day! Will be doing a dry trim, so I just removed fan leaves. Now drying in the tent at 75ºF & ≈55% RH. (Will post harvest info/page after drying, since I forgot to weigh her wet.) Skywalker is a dream to grow. This is the first indica-dominant strain I've grown, and I thought it would be squat; but it had a nice medium-sized structure with the just solid nugs! Will definitely need CalMag in veg and flower. There may have been a pH issue during flower, but I'm extremely happy with the yield and quality. I'll definitely use greater light intensity and more aggressive LST when I grow this next time, since it looks like the buds could have developed a bit more.
