Hello Growers and Tokers!
Welcome to another run where I'll be testing something from a local breeder.
The cultivar is Orange Apricot x Mimosa from Mallorca Breeders.
This cultivar is a treat, I've had the delight of smoking this grown from the actual breeder.
If it comes out anything like that I'll be more than happy.
Frosty buds, very oily, very tasty, very hard, very nice, very everything! It was a 10/10 smoke
Let's hope we have a 10/10 grow to have some 10/10 nugs.
Strain description from breeder:
Genetic Background: Orange Apricot x Mimosa
Type: Feminized
Sativa 50% Indica 50%
THC:
CBD:
Yield Indoor : gr/m2
Height Indoor: 0 - 0 cm
Flowering time: 8 - 9 weeks ( 55 - 60 days)
Aroma: Effect:
Expectations and training method:
I know these genetics are a bit delicate so I’ll be taking things very easy. The breeder suggests waiting until the fan leaves come out to decide the training technique.
If the fan leaves are thinner then it’s leaning more towards Orange Apricot and will be a bit more sativa and has more ramifications so most likely LST. Thicker fan leaves would be leaning towards Indica which is what I actually want, the Mimosa side. Breeder recommends topping this Pheno to increase yields. Let’s hope they’re Mimosa leaning..
As for the yields I’m not expecting more than 40 grams per plant but always shooting for more.
I’ve already smoked this strain grown by the breeder and other local breeders, which is what made me want to grow it myself. I expect nothing but trichomes and terps from these ladies.

Happy Growing! 😃
End of week one and seedlings are looking good.
Sprouted fast, stretched a bit because the light was too far but that was fixed by the end of the week.
Leaves are opening up and spreading out fast.
Some roots are already showing up on the sides of the cup.
I placed the seeds in 500ml cups with BioBizz Light Mix soil, beforehand I mixed 1 gram of Synergy per 4 liters of soil.
These are live microbes called Mycorrhiza which live in symbiotic association with the roots.
My idea is to leave them in this container for about 14-21 days until the roots develop correctly then transplant them to their final pot which will be an 11L fabric pot.
As the light mix soil comes blended for at least two week of life, no nutrients will be added until after the transplant.
Happy Growing!😃 🌱 🌿 🌲
Week two went good there was a bit of underwatering on my part, these ladies drink!
The breeder did warn me about that though.
Beside the underwatering things look good.
Next week they'll be transplanted to final 11L fabric pots.
Happy Growing!
Hello Growers & Tokers!
Rooooots. Don't forget about them!
At the beginning of the week they all got transplanted into their final pots, 11L fabric pots.
Medium is Light Mix from BioBizz.
Synergy from Grotek nutrients was blended in the medium to help out the roots.
Let hat mycorrhizae do it's thing.
I'll let them settle in their new home then I'll be topping them to widen that canopy out.
Take care out there and happy growing!
Hello Growers & Tokers!
One week after transplanting and the girls are doing good.
They seem to be a bit droopy still so I'll wait till next week to top them.
Turns out they were droopy because it was too cold. Raised the heat and they started to get perky again.
I upped the amount to half the recommended dose like all the other strains but this one is asking for more nutes.
Which was advised by the breeders beforehand.
Upping the amount of water almost every feed about 200ml in every feed. Feeding every other day.
That's about it for this week.
Take care out there and happy growing!
Hello Growers & Tokers!
Tops off!
If you check the pics you'll see that this week the tops were taken off.
That will break the apical growth and promote lateral growth.
That way the branches will be at about the same height.
Making an even canopy of flowers or at least that's the idea.
They were topped at the sixth node so I'm expecting between 8-10 colas.
Next week I'll defoliating and switching to flower.
Take care out there and happy growing!
Hello Growers & Tokers!
No stress from last weeks topping.
This is the last week of vegetation so I defoliated them before switching to flower.
Toke away the big fan leaves from the middle and cleaning the bottom of the plants.
I take off the first node and on the second and third node; I take off the first and second nodes.
That's growth that won't amount to anything so I go ahead and get rid of that already.
Taking the bigger fan leaves off will help with light penetration under in the canopy.
Talking about the canopy, the result after topping was as expected.
There's an even canopy of future colas, there was no need to LST them or anything.
They got into place by themselves. I will be adding support soon though to help out during flower.
Take care out there and happy growing!
