Excited to start my second grow (even though I haven't finished the first grow). I need to apply what I've learned before I forget and screw these plants, too!
Started another zskittles seed 3/1 and planted 3/2. I kind of lost the first seed in the soil while planting (don't ask). I still left Skittles # 1 just to see what happens ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
3/4 - The seed that I thought was lost deep in the soil actually popped up a little near the edge. I G E N T L Y relocated the root to the center and buried it a 1/4 in down. Very excited that I didn't blow this plant! So it looks like i'll be growing 3 plants this time around. Ambitious for a newb? Very much so.
It's the start of veggie time! I only learned from my first grow that I can call it "veg phase" when those two cute, round, thumb leaves show up. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself I read somewhere. Still trying to figure out the arrangement in the tent with these starters and the 2 late flower plants I have in the tent until my upgrade arrives. I gave them a little diluted cal-mag and other nutes watering today. I'm going to try using Bergman's seedling fertilizer schedule this time around.

They're getting bigger faster than I thought, so I'm upgrading my tent to fit them in 5 gal pots in a week or so.

Gelato: 4w5d (33d)
Gelato was blowing up, so ole girl graduated to the 5-gallon smart pot. I noticed she's already started flowering already, but autoflowers be autoflowerin' I guess! I'll have to consult the forum weed g-ds if it starts getting any weirder. The pot transfer went smoothly this time (LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE FIRST GROWWWWW) and she got a deep watering so she's good for a few days. I have noticed the yellowing lower leaves, leading me to think there's a nitrogen deficiency? I'm using a pretty nutrient-dense soil so I'm not sure why I should have ANY nutrient problems. WIll keep my eye on it, and if it worsens, it's time for additional resources (i.e. Root Booster).
I'm growing in pretty nutrient-dense soil (Indicanja 0.8-0.8-0.8), so I'm not sure if this is just the usual funky newer leaf growth or a nitrogen deficiency?
Also, I know autos do what they want, but she has already started pre-flowering. Or is this a full switch to flower?
First of all , my english is not the best. i will try my best to get it right , somehow 😋. You need to switch your light cycle to 20/4 or at least 18/6. 12 hours arent enough for autoflowers. Also lower your Lamp to 18-22 inches 😉. example for soil, growing with Biobizz Allmix your plant will need some food after 4-5 weeks . if you use BioBizz Lightmix you will need to feed your plants after 2-3 weeks. after 5 weeks of 12 hour cycle, the plants didnt had that much time to grow properly . there was no vegi phase at all , so they started to overflower already...they need some more nutrients (food) , i think your PH is way to high , so that stops the plant from gettin nutrients . lower it down to 5.8 to 6.5 asap . Next run try to keep the 20/4 light cycle , hold the lamp at 18-22 inches the whole grow , use 9 pots a 14 Liter on a grow tent with 1,20 x 1,20 x 2,00 , place the seed from beginning into the soil , 0,5 to 1 cm deep , use BioBizz Allmix and I guarantee you you will get a very good yield with some incredible smells and tastes 💪
Normally the new growth is lighter than the rest of the plant so that is normal but there is something going on you tell because the plant is starting to fade a bit in color. Also, this is a full switch to flower judging from the photos, autos can flower super early. I recently just got rid of Gelato Auto from Female Seeds and it grew funky the whole time too, could be something in the genetics.
I'm making an attempt to battle the nitrogen-deficient leaves. Drowned her with a full gallon and a 1/2 dose of growtime. Today I started LST using plant wire and safety pins to hold them down. Not too shabby, eh?
6w3d (44d) - Gelato is chugging along. She probably needs to be a bit closer to the light, so I'll have to macgyver some crates to fit in this tiny ass tent. I can't wait until the 4x4 tent stuff arrives!
8w0d (55d) - She got a good flush and a Fertilizer feed today. I'm slowly getting my numbers back in the acceptable range. It looks like the new tent has really helped. It's also time to start paying attention to the tricomes. This grow went pretty quick, but it's also quite stunted and I don't expect much bud from it. Oh well!
9w2d (65d) - We're in the home stretch here. I need to decide how amber I want this baby to go. I haven't decided how I'm going to end this plant with a flush or whatever. I likely won't get much off of her.
10w0d (70d) - I'd say she has another 2-3 weeks to go. She will only receive ph'd water for feeds/flushing from here on out. I'm kinda disappointed in the size, but that's likely because 1. they're autos and 2. I may have let them veg in smaller pots for too long while I was waiting for the new tent and lights to arrive.
12w1d (85d) - Any day now! Started using Fish Sh!t to start the process of flushing her out. I read the journal article and, really, no one has a clue if flushing is as beneficial or not. Just do whatever…why not?
13w6d (96d) Fw9: She just looks so way past death but the colas are stillfat and the smell is wonderful. ILGM nerds think she needs another 2 weeks. I'll give one more nute feeding, then I wiill be feeding pH'd water with Fish Sh!t until harvest time.
15w0d (104d): I'm in week 11 of flower and all the leaves are basically disintegrated but she still has some clear trichomes. I'm definitely getting antsy!
