Just started them Never done the cherry pie strain, I’ve done both his parents which are granddaddy purple and Durban poison Pure Indica I’m real excited about doing again I’m gonna try to get way more yield. I kept my last two very small when I did the pure Indica but the bud was fantastic so I’m gonna try to get the same bud but huge yield

So here we got cherry pie, new strain I’m excited to try out. I have grown the parents of Cherry pie- Durban poison and granddaddy purple - and enjoyed the grow even though I haven’t harvested the Durban poison yet.. I’m in week 3 of flower on those I have done pure Indica I did two small plants and they yielded a few ounces but the flower was absolutely terrific. I’m using 5 gallon pots instead of 2 gallons on the last pure indicas.. i’m not sure if I’m going to top these or not yet but I’m definitely going to try to get them further along in veg before I flip to flower so I can get a more significant yield. Here we go!

These two are coming along real nice. The cherry pie seems to be slightly bigger than the pure Indica at this point. They both look to have optimal vegetative growth at this stage, everything looks excellent. Debating on whether I’m gonna top or not on these bad boys.. or girls rather.. Probably will top just because I had excellent results with pure indica topping last time. Mid week update MAR 16 Girls are blowing up! Topped the two of them above node 5, and clipped 1st node. So I should have 8 nice branches/colas in flower Thanks for checking out the diary!

So these have taken off greatly in the last week even after a topping at the beginning of this week. Cherry pie has been distinguishably growing at a faster rate, but the pure Indica responded much better to the topping. After about four or five days from the actual topping, the pure Indica bounce back and is growing those top two branches from the top node really well, whereas the cherry pie has been focusing its growth down on lower nodes it seems. So I’m kind of had a weird spot as far as where these plants are going to fit in to flowering, I have seven other seedlings going right now that I’d really like to take the flower with these two but that means that I have to grow these out for several more weeks. I’m transitioning into a bigger flower room so I will have the space for all of them, I just don’t know if these can do several more weeks in veg without becoming monsters. Certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing tho! May be able to see a little bit of curling on the ends of the cherry pie fan leaves, I’m assuming that’s a bit of a nitrogen overload. I have only given nutrients once to these and it was a very light feeding around 3 to 400 ppm of Maxi grow.

Well these kinda turned into temporary mother plants for cloning and experimental training.. and that went to shit today when I fell on them and broke the cherry pie main branch right in half. Well I still got plenty of clones from them.. but the training all went out the window after I broke the top nodes off. But it turned out okay.. I left two nodes(4 branches) on cherry pie - topped each one so there’s about 4 branches that will grow off each main branch. Same story with pure indica except I only kept one node ( 2 branches ) and each branch topped to have 4-5 branches. I’m gonna let them recover and throw in flower likely.. maybe do an outdoor grow with them?? Dunno yet. MID WEEK UPDATE Thursday April 1 - threw these chopped up girls in flower tent today

Welp I threw these girls in flower.. took plenty of clones, a few I screwed up tho and over saturated the plugs.. but I’ve got the CP ones rooting well.. PI ones seem a bit tougher. So I got a custom topping/manifolding type set up going on each one, cuz I took clone cuttings and then accidentally beheaded Cherry pie last week when I fell in my tent haha.. It’ll be interesting to see how these branches flower

Holy shit this CP is taking off like it was growing in hydro.. I’m loving the way this random HST/topping/taking clones from them ended up setting up the branches for a nice even canopy. CP should be a gorgeous and huge plant when all is said and done.. the pure indica I’ve grown before, wasn’t massive but had magnificent buds.. Luckily I cloned both these several times, and I think the CP is a keeper pheno if she ends up with good flower.. Real excited for this one cuz these two will have the entire 4x4 soon to really allow for max canopy size and training.. Pre-flower pistils/stigmas showing on both. Been in flower a bit over a week Mid week update - holy hell these are still just blowing my mind with growth.. already have flowers forming.. Thanks for stopping by and reading

So I run all types of mediums and soil isn’t my specialty.. I’ve got this beast cherry pie in a 5 gallon fabric pot. I’m 2.5 weeks in flower, wanna get full potential outta her. Thinking of transplanting to 10G pot. Love to hear opinions. Will it cause significant shock? Thx

yes you can transplant her but 10 gallon is.....to big......----- building big ass roots is the job of vegetation, i see no big succes into transplanting her so late, but yeah youu can do it,,,, next time , if you have much space, let her vegetate longer and fill up the biiig growpot, before you go into flowr greetings

Excellent week or so of growth these things are taken off and flowering something amazing. I’ve got to the point where I’m topping all my plants now for better life distribution and what not.. I tried out some LST trainers I found on Amazon that have been awesome and now this cherry pie probably has a 3 x 3‘ footprint it’s just huge! Luckily for me I expanded my flower room to a nice 10 x 10 area and added a couple lights in the last weeks so I can handle that extra size. The pure Indica is just as I would like it it reminds me exactly of the one I grew several months back that was just amazing bud. Luckily for me I’ve got my cloning technique pretty down pat now so I was able to clone both of these before I send them off to flower!

Don’t have too much time right now for a full rundown but these are doing awesome, cherry pie is blowing my expectations away. The pure Indica is looking solid, sugar leaves are already developing heavily and that’s always a good sign. The next week to 10 days are really going to be important, should see these flowers turn into actual buds. Thanks for stopping by and checking the girls out!

I do apologize if there are any duplicate photos, this time I ran through my photo library and try to group them together so I may have repeats of the same photo. That said everything’s looking good, I do believe cherry pie had a bit of salt buildup going on the last week or two. Leaves were starting to show some signs of toxicity. A few nights back I ran florakleen thru both of these until I got a gallon of runoff, the cherry pie was pushing 2000 ppm whereas the pure Indica was only pushing 1000 ppm. Shit. Wish I were discovered this earlier and I’m hoping it won’t cause any negative affects with the bulking of cherry pie, but I guess we’ll find out. So I went ahead and flushed them both out which I should be doing a couple times grow anyhow. Pure Indica is looking excellent. Flowers are already very dense and hard, I’d like to see them at least gain 50%, really love to see double the size before chop. As far as cherry pie is concerned, I don’t think we’ll have an issue with flower size once it comes time to chop. But I am concerned with density of the flower, it’s looking great for week five of flower - but as much of a beast as she’s been I really like to see some gains on density and see some of that filling out before fattening up(if that makes sense) Thanks for stopping by and checking out the diary folks!

Well we’re dealing with definitely some issues probably nutrient excess at this point. It’s obviously been the manifestation of something that probably began weeks before it showed itself. We’re at flush time here and how so I’m hoping part of this is just the face of the plant but it’s likely not. As you can see in the last two photos I cloned cherry pie and pure Indica and have those in flower right now. Cherry pie is in a 3 gallon coco and it is topped but it grew and stretched like it wasn’t after put in flower I actually have two pure Indica‘s from cologne that I threw in flower just about 10 days ago where is the cherry pie is three weeks old I took a bunch of cuts from this pure Indica and I plan on running at least six plants from that mother which is actually the main plant in this diary. I took a bunch of cuts and then sent it to flower. I’ve always had to battle mildew to some extent growing in my house , but this cherry pie seems more susceptible to it and the bud structure makes it easier to harbor fungus and mold like that..

So i chopped cherry pie.. and pure indica a few days later. I wish I would have let CP go another week probably.. I think the buds are gonna be a bit on the airy side.. I hit it with a citric acid solution for WPM and then fresh water, then let it dry hours before chopping. Ended up with 696 grams wet, and it was wetter than normal cuz of the wash so it was prob closer to 550-600 grams actual wet weight if I woulda let it dry for 24 before chopping. Expecting 4 oz from that PUre indica cut with cloudy trichs and a few amber.. same with CP. Pure indica is such a dream of a plant compared to what I’ve dealt with in the past.. rock hard nuggs, easy trimming, coated in frosty trichomes, stanky as ever. I ended up with just under 400 g wet weight on pure indica, and that was after starving her of water for a day or two.. so I think she’ll hold more of that weight than normal.. I’ll be happy with 3 oz from her.

Loving this Pure Indica. One of the gems of ILGMs seeds I think. I’ve had issue with some of their genetics/specific seeds. This Pure Indica is on point tho.. I’ve kept me a mother plant to work from from now on.
