I was intrigued by the kratky method after watching youtuber Weed in a Pot. I like the cost savings from no soil or pumps...and no knat issues or frequent watering is a bonus!
So, Did a test run of 1 clone that went from 7in to 20in in two weeks! (was expecting 12g and looking more like 1oz!-its still finishing) Anyhow, I tweaked the teachings. This will be my flowering log for ya'll to peep and maybe decide to try.
Supplies List:
1gal jug spring water
Razor knife
2in net cup(or clear solo cups work)
Perlite
Alum foil (protect from algae)
Nutes
Cal-mag
Ph meter
Ppm meter
Clones 2-3wk rooted from mother plant
***the pics this week and watching his vids on kratky will tell you everything you need to know except nutes. (I started them on a balance of all npk+cal mag+micros at 500 -600ppm and grew to height of 10-12inches topping whoever grew too fast. Once switching to flower I refilled container to half way up roots with strictly flower nutes+calmag with ppm 8-900. Always ph'd to roughly 6----5.8-6.2 is good range)
Nutes and water set for the next few weeks. I will comment when refills are done. After 1st week all are healthy, happy and grown 2-3inches. Verosky lights are overhead at 15 inches and mars hydro tsl2000 is hitting the sides while over the flowering mothers.
These plants had an insane stretch. I had to switch out the whole setup table to get away from the light. They are now at 20in under a Mars TSL2000 and catch side light from another over their mothers. They are loving their nutes and environment!
This week I learned 2in net cups are not enough to hold the monsters. Future grows will be clear solo cups. Also learned I need to have the trellis in pace first so it can grow into it...I broke about 6 branches. Hooefully most will make it. Also learned the foil is key as I have had zero algae groth in this Kratky
Went in vacation and lost 5 of them due to lack of enough water but its ok have plenty and the other gitls are looking good. The maxi line nutes are doing great things and keeps it simple.
@@amon_grows...Thx bro, I've never seen an any attempts like this either. Who knows, maybe I just pioneered a method lol. Stoked to see the yield...been so easy and fun!
I'll pull up a chair for this if you don't mind. At Freedom Of Seeds we just love seeing our strains in grow diaries. We had some good feedback from a guy on Instagram who grew Godberry. How many have you got left after the drought?
Here's some info on Godberry:
Godberry is a deliciously fruity (Indica) which will reward you with enormous production. One of the easiest plants to grow, a real no brainer and the hit will leave you without a care in the world. 😜 She thrives in all environments and is especially suitable for novice or experienced gardeners looking for a quality crop with connoisseur excellence.
Godberry is going to become a very popular medicinal strain because of its high CBD content. She's also an outstanding outdoor plant due to her super-fast early finish. She is normally mature by the end of September in the northern hemisphere, including the UK Holland and Ireland, very fast Flowering Time: Indoors: 55 days. Height 1 meter to 120 indoors, outdoor 180.
Good luck fella, can't wait to see chop day 😜
Peace
Sol
