***Note that I started to count the days when I placed the seeds between paper towels. The seeds were planted 3 days later and sprouted from the ground 2 days after being planted.
D76 (09/05/2021): This grow is on cruise control. The buds are swelling and they smell strong. Banana Kush does not have a strong smell and not a lot of trichomes, like the previous Banana Kush I grew. The genetic of those seeds might not be the best. Gelato and Glue Gelato smell dank and have a lot of trichomes. The Glue Gelato is starting to have a beautiful pink color on top buds. All three plants are still drinking good amount of water (around 2L of water for Glue gelato every day and the same amount for Gelato and Banana Kush but every other day).
- Light: the lights are at 100% and at 12 inch form the plants.
- Temperature: during the day: 24-26C ; during the night: 20C.
- Humidity: the humidity is maintain around 46-48% all the time.
- Air circulation: There is an oscillating fan on the ground, one fixed fan pointing on top of the canopy and one fixed fan to help cool the lights.
- Water: I gave water every other day or when the ground feel dry or the pots feels light.
- ***IPM: I never mention it but I'm using nematodes pouch as an integrated pest management. I had trouble with pest in my first grow and I learned from it. That's the only thing I do for pest and of course watching closely and regularly at my plants π
Hi,
I love the pic with bud growth stages you shared, interesting to see those side by side for a better view and understanding on how cannabis flower mature!
Awesome bud by the way!
Thanks for sharing
@Eauderay, Thanks you very much! Yeah the Gelato grow weird. Short bush that did not really stretch in flower. She have a lot of leaves and all 3 fingers. The pistils of the bud are really tick compare to the other plants and the buds are growing along side to the branch instead of having multiple bud sites. But I'm sure it will be a good smoke ππ
Hello there! Looking awesome!
I think you are probably right about light responsable for rust on leaves, often we think it is calmag but in fact it is due to the intense static light on top constantly giving plant a sunburn! The soil and nutrients you have used are very good and amply enough!
When we give organic amendment it takes up to 3 weeks for plants to access some elements, nitrogen being the easiest one. No worries for the one you amended last.
@Eauderay, thanks for your feed back and for the info! It's really appreciated! I read that LED light can cause this kind of burn as it's easy to place them too close from the plant since they don't produce a lot of heat. It's my second grow and first with organic soil and one of the mistake I made is not letting time for my soil to ''cook''. So you are probably right when you say that some nutrient was not already available for the plant. It's completely different than growing with bottle nutrient but I prefer that way, organic! I can't wait to see the final product and compare the smoke of this grow with my previous one! πͺπ
