Lithium OG Kush, by Nirvana.
The best anti-depressant strain I've ever encountered, past SSH and blue dream. One puff off the vape turns a terrible day into a happy, productive one.
Not going to top these, just going to 90* them. Will plant off-center. Already doing LST to prepare, will try to be on top of HST timing as the plants grow.
7/8 germed, I blame myself for not noticing the 2L bottle planter didn't have holes drilled into it, kept the puck super wet. Shame.
Here's to hoping I can get them good and huge before I need to finish them to keep the perpetual harvest rolling! If there's extra space because I couldn't ridic veg these, I will fill it with other plants -- and not add them to the grow.
So I hurt one during transplant, forgot to plant it offset, had the root ball in my hands and panicked. Went from first place "probably going to be the one I keep as a mother" to dead last to get potentially culled.
Reduced Rhizo to 4ml due to shortage. Trying to let the bags dry out, I had to prep them shortly before I planted so I didn't have a dry pot to only wet the transplant bit in.
Will begin watering in an arc outside the rootball. Will reduce light height to 24" and then likely to 20".
LST tiedowns. HST on main stem. Vegging, removing top/bottom nodes as they come. Getting ready for the flower tent. Lots of foliar with weak canna, rhizo, calmag, armorsi.
Pictures directly post trim/LST. Got some slasher victims today.
The one in particular, but a few of them, I got a bit overzealous. I think they'll be fine; despite cutting them down to too-few leaves, the leaves that are gone were all shade/suckers. Assuming they recover fine, none of it should affect the crop negatively.
The other couple that are asymmetrical, I accidentally cut them due to the pruning scheme... only to find out that they were actually going to be oriented a different way once the plant vegged out a bit. This actually is less than the last couple crops I 90-degree trained. It can be hard to predict.
In order to avoid the thin colas I've experienced in the past, I'm going to be trying removing more of the bottom most nodes of *every* cola, not just the mains. Cutting the "sucker" nodes when they're still tiny should eliminate wasted growth, but it can be hard to tell precisely how things are going to turn out.
They're transplanted off-center (though closer to center than I'd like in many cases), and I'm watering on the far side to encourage the root mass. When they fill the pot with roots, I'll just water.
Lot of real heavy IRL issues with family, if you didn't see my other diaries. Didn't turn out the lights, just snapped a few mid-trim. Last couple not trimmed yet.
Forgot to move the lights down from 24" to 20" weeks ago, thought I had already done it. Did that immediately, doesn't impact this week's entry.
Trimming them because I'm going to chuck 4-6 of them, minus whichever I select to be a mother, into 5 gallons. If the small ones don't fit, I'm culling them (or the unpictured medical clone taking up the corner).
After a bit, I will tie them down, give them another week or two, then flip them. Still not sure on timeline, my perpetual harvest got a bit weird.
Pics right after LST.
Transplanted, puck offset to center, to 5 gallon pots. Foliar. Recovered.
LSTed the main stem to level repeatedly. Foliar. Recovered.
Tied the main stems down. Tried to get them aligned. Foliar. Recovered.
Tied the limbs down. Have attempted to mitigate any asymmetry. Foliar repeatedly. Recovering.
Doubled down on rhizo, watered with a full seedling 15ml dose and have been using 8-12. Watering all on the far side of the pot from where the puck is.
The mother looks better than any of them in her 3 gallon; having this strain available perpetually will serve me quite well.
Have been mixing foliar with max silica instead of half. Haven't seemed to burn, have noticed a lot darker coloration. Lots of rhizo in the foliar also seems to pay off, despite the expense.
They have until my CBD crops finish and I will move them to 400w COBs at 12/12.
Waiting on new equipment, etc for flip. Should be quite ready. Trying to fill the bags with feeder roots as much as possible before-hand.
Still giving extra root stuff, as I haven't discovered any roots coming out of the far side of the bottom of the bag.
Had my pH meter break so they only got like one feed in the last several days. Will rectify tomorrow.
New digital timers, stepping down to 20 hours then 2 hour increments down to 12.
Continuing to top tertiary branches at the first node instead of removing them or leaving them. Hoping to end up with dense, spherical nugs near the bottom of the colas, instead of lanky sucker branches.
Have neglected to lower lamp from 24" down to 20". Will rectify. Unless I forget =P
Tapered down to 12/12 two hours at a time. Been stretching a few days, no pistils. Will count as flowering once it shows pistils well.
Increased feed to match stretch on the Canna light feed schedule. Have defoliated in waves in preparation.
Still no pistils. Have tightened the LST ties repeatedly, and as aresult filled out the 5 gallons. Kinda wish I had time to re-veg them and do the stretch again. Next few weeks might produce a bit more vertical, even given the exposed node count.
Crowded, but nowhere near as crowded as usual. Most of the crowding nodes seem like they will make good dense buds.
Still waiting to see how topping branches to the first node works out. Have had to trim some of them for obcvious crowding reasons, but frankly seems like less wasted growth than inches of sucker branch.
Pistils! Still fed stretch level nutrients, waiting for full pom-poms to move up to post-stretch feed schedule.
Pruned nodes, particularly those liekly useless... many of the vertical nodes id attempted to spare by only topping them had to go anyways. still not doing so bad on growth being wasted at all.
5 gallon bag had a good chance to fill out after all, lets see how this does. Hoping for nothing but colas, dense and well shaped. Some are sparse in the middle, but still hopefully yield will do well.
Pistil development good. Starting to get an odor I can detect over the filters. Otherwise quiet on this grow, just giving it it last few foliars before I quit and making sure the ties are tight and everything is defoliated.
Bonus shots are of a Medical Mass clone in a 2 gallon, and the mutant 00S Norhtern Lights in a 1 gallon. They share the tent but are not in the grow.
Feeding at least a few feeds at full shedule "normal" feed instead of "light" schedule, during main flower. No PK or boost, so this seems safe for a few feeds. Seems to be working, they were a bit deficient on the light schedule from time to time.
Discontinued Rhizo and silica, unless the heat gets out of control. Silica is a pain to balance, I really love it and all but... I've also had buds that were really hard to grind lol. Sometimes you need the stuff whn it's hot.
Bonus pics of the tentmate clone RQS Medical Mass and oddjob mutant 00S NL.
Still eyeballing the molasses and nothing else not even ph up or down it comes to straight up 5.8-6.0 (too much will make it much lower but still).
I cut them for shade a week ago a week late, which was dumb. Due to this, during my pruning I have cut away for airflow -- very different pruning. Together, this has left them low on leaves, trying to remember not to prune until its defoliation time.
No burnt tips at full normal Canna schedule strength *yet*. On this, as well as my vegging plants, I had been having less vigor and more lime instead of lush green -- upped from light schedule to normal and seems to have fixed. I might be overfeeding now and mistaken, but until I get sign I will continue with the nutrient schedule every other day. M<aybe my cutting out the other additives means the PPM isnt too high? I have very clean water.
Close-ups this week. Best I can get with my tremors and crap phone.
Increased feed from 13ml to 14ml, which is normal strenght peak. The other tents seem to be appreciating the full strength canna formula over the light schedule as well.
Still feeding molasses early, it has vitamins and i want these babies sweet like candy. Not sure full reccomended time schedule for this but I've heard all flowering -- and noticed that only a few weeks before harvest gives less effect. This strain is delicious, not stinging on the molasses. Lemon diesel. Already stinking good in a room running two 6" canmax w/ 6" carbon filters.
Continued fery light defoliation for airflow only. Holding off.
