Close-ups this week. Best I can get with my tremors and crap phone. Increased feed from 13ml to 14ml, which is normal strenght peak. The other tents seem to be appreciating the full strength canna formula over the light schedule as well. Still feeding molasses early, it has vitamins and i want these babies sweet like candy. Not sure full reccomended time schedule for this but I've heard all flowering -- and noticed that only a few weeks before harvest gives less effect. This strain is delicious, not stinging on the molasses. Lemon diesel. Already stinking good in a room running two 6" canmax w/ 6" carbon filters. Continued fery light defoliation for airflow only. Holding off.

Do you have a tutorial on you training technique anywhere?
Black_Magic
Black_Magiccommented6 years ago
@Jaindoh,I wanted to ask you about it , but like I see some one already did
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented7 years ago
@toaster37, yeah but usually i just pinch it until i feel it gives way, if it needs to be tied it gets tied... i don't usually try to get it to break all the way. i have been going with "heavy LST, light HST" as the mantra. if you find the pics of that big CBD Crew plant, you might be able to tell -- you could actually see my fingerprints on the manifold in white against the black/purple.

@Jaindoh, Thank you! When you say HST, do you mean supercropping, i.e. pinching the stem until it cracks, then bending over?

Have you grown any auto strains with good anti depressant effects?
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented7 years ago
@toaster37, i am just about to take pictures for the week 1 update for my 00 NL, ironically enough. my next purchase will definitely include blue dream cbd, most likely humboldt seed org despite their expense.

@Jaindoh, Thanks for the tips! I deal with anxiety and depression, too. The PB&J of mental health issues :/. I have a NL by 00 seeds drying right now, I have also heard that it is good for anxiety. I am planning some blue dream for my next grow, and I will look into your recommendations for the future.

@toaster37, not as of yet though i did have very good anti-anxiety effects off WorldofSeeds Northern Lights x Big Bud Ryder, which I'd reccomend highly overall. I've seen good things with blue dream and silver haze, other people swear by sour diesel or og kush, all available in autos. Best I can do, I swore off autos after the third crop that took just as long if not longer than a photo grow.

@Jaindoh, damn that’s amazing how symmetrical you got it with LST and pruning!
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented6 years ago
@PussyWagon6969, na 90 degree LST and selective node pruning those are the mains flush with the coir

@Jaindoh, nice plan ;)

@bobo420, Good to hear from you! Yeah I wasn't happy that I rushed too much during the pruning. Goofed up, lost some colas, probably stunted some veg growth. Philosophy so far is that I have too many plants. To try to slow down any more than I do, I can't really do. I need to kind of just go prune on autopilot and then make THAT perfect... That being said, I am still happy. My plan now is to transplant them into 5 gallons. If they get big enough in the 5 gallons, I may be able to both keep a mother and cull a runt or even two.

@ChefDan420, Thanks! they filled out their colas in a way im happy with just now to see how they mature into this shape. The most mature one has some really killer pistils, if I feel up to it I will go in for some closeups on the next update =)

Amazing training! loving those bonsai trunks. Thicc. Have you looked into the training technique called "Mainlining". It's similar but splits the plant into 2 halfs (topping), then each half can be grown at 90* like yours.
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented6 years ago
@TheOutlawBubbaKush, yeah this is the technique i use on short to medium plants that aren't really tall enough to want to mainline. it's a hassle but it's either that or something a lot more sloppy. I utilize a lot of the same rules about which nodes to keep. It's a lot more iffy, though, as you end up with branches twisting due to training. This one's very experimental with the "top all the tertiary branches you find, instead of leaving or removing them", but seems to have filled out well. All of the smaller crowded nodes are much less crowding than branches would be.

What makes you say OG Kush is such a good antidepressant? We’ve got some growing and using it for depression and anxiety is exactly what I’m interested in.
Jaindoh
Jaindohcommented7 years ago
@JemGreen, Lithium OG Kush is actually Nirvana's OG Kush crossed with their Master Kush. I believe there's a particular pheno or two involved in the cross. I grew these twice before and loved the uplifting effects. From the old Nirvana ad copy and current Seedsman ad copy for this strain: "The effect is at once uplifting and euphoric in nature explaining its therapeutic use as a natural anti-depressant with anti-anxiolytic qualities to banish anxiety."
