I have decided to move away from biobizz (for now). Last time I got plagron allmix and the plants stayed greener in flower compared to biobizz.
With royal mix I only need alga bloom and wanted to simplify the feeding.
I have tried to stick to biobizz and adjust the feeding as their feeding chart is overkill. But never found the right balance of nutes. So this is an experiment fingers crossed worth a try.
I couldn’t get plagron lightmix so got biobizz lightmix.
Can’t wait to grow this strain!
Put the Jiffy plugs into the small fabric bags with biobizz lightmix soil.
Timer on for 18-6 lights.
Using bottled water for the first while before tap water. Not ideal as I would love to use better quality water.
No nutes. Will be switching into plagron royal mix which provides all the nutes until flower.
I will be transplanting up this week.
I’ve decided to use 3 gallon pots instead of my usual 5 gallon. Just to see if any difference or better control of watering wet dry cycle. And more space to get at my plants.
Because I’m using 3 gallon fabric pots I have prepared the soil mix already and will be transplanting straight into these as the final pot.
I am using plagron royal mix 70% and 30% perlite. And will use plagron agae bloom in flower.
I have ordered a stronger vegging light 600w led Mars hydro. The one I currently use isn’t strong enough and my other big LED lights being used for the Liberty haze.
Transplanted straight into the final pots 3 gallon. First time using 3 gallon but think will help with the salt buildup.
Now using a mix of plagron royal mix and perlite and used the rest of my clay pebbles.
With this plagron soil no grow nutes need to be used and just algae bloom in flower. So will see how this goes as I’m used to biobizz.
Once transplanted into the pots the plants responded really well!
Also today I have put in my new veg light Mars hydro ts600.
This week the plants have stretched too much I wasn’t going to train until moved into the big tent. However decided to train them.
Grow out 6 nodes cut down to the third and clear the underneath.
Just using the rest of my biobizz root and then plain water until flower as using the royal mix plagron soil.
I will be attempting to mainline best I can.
I have been watering with the remainder of biobizz root juice. No other nutes until flower where I will begin the algae bloom.
Topped each once cleared the bottom and will be training further once In the bigger tent.
Updated photos into the big tent.
Plants looking a bit droppy after mainlining. I’m hoping they recover as I am late training again.
I think I am regretting using the 3 gallon and will stick with 5 gallon from now on.
Change of soil to plagron royal mix (where I am not supposed to add grow feed). If they continue like this I will be adding grow.
Also waiting to buy another LED board as my tent is 2.4x1.2x2 and another light would be ideal to make use of all available space.
Trying to nurse these plants back to life.
They didn’t look good after training and switching to the bigger tent.
I’ve checked other peoples grows and maybe this strain takes longer to recover after training.
I am now adding in plagron alga grow. And I have purchased a dehumidifier.
I am also waiting on new lights hopefully this week.
-Increased air flow (def didn’t have enough).
-Transplanted to 5 gallon pots I will never go to 3 gallon again. The soil was drying out too quick and could have been part of the problem with these.
- Removed three of the plants as they were looking beyond repair and it’s so near flowering.
-Have 6 remaining praying I’ve done enough to help them.
-New swift air LED Bar lights.
Hopefully the plants recover with so many changes usually I wouldn’t transplant so late.
The plants looking so much better this week!
I made the right decision to transplant up from the 3 gallon.
They are loving the new lights and much more space now with 6 plants.
The plants are stretching nicely during first week of flower.
I defoiled a bit before the switch and will do again in 2 weeks (3 weeks from switch).
Can’t believe how well these girls recovered after potting into bigger pots.
I’ve not much height to play with, with these new lights as my filter is above so hoping they don’t shoot up too much.
These plants were so bushy and I had to do a light defoil 2day and lollipop the bottom more.
I have very little height to work with so hoping they don’t stretch anymore.
Also I am adjusting the new nutrients I’m using. Plagron which I am starting half dose as the schedule is saying 40ml per 10 ltrs I am doing 20ml per 10.
Buds starting to properly form now so next week will start showing progress.
Ppm was high and PH sitting around 6.7.
Fed plain ph 6 water and the ph and ppm now in good range.
Yellowing of leaves very early this time.
The PH keeps creeping up to 6.8 even though I’ve kept feeding low PH of 5.5.
The smell of these are amazing like ‘fruit salad sweets’.
Will just begin flushing
@SegaYGriega, hi these lights are ‘Swiftair Apollo LED 12 Bar Grow lights Veg Flower Full Spectrum 720w 2.45uml/s’ good spec and reasonably priced compared to others with similar spec 🙂
Hello! Hope this intel helps a little . I´ve been growing Barney´s LSD for years, mainly outdoors. It is a majestic plant. She loves Lst and handels well topping, but one needs feeding her more then you are doing now. And she likes a good watering, if your substrate is well drained. ( P.S. do you have a steady air flow ? )
@@hillman, thanks for your advice! I changed to the royal mix plagron on the assumption not to add grow but def I knew they needed grow so I am giving this now. And I was assuming I was maybe overwatering them but I will def give me water and loosen the substrate. I have steady air flow from an intake fan thanks for your advice I will be making a few tweaks cheers!
