Probably will have to take the small strawberry cough out of the tent, and add my dehumidifier. Update.. last day of week 9, and the frost is just starting to appear.

How often does everyone do a res change?? I am doing one every 7 to 10 days, but have noticed that my ppm isn't lowering much in that span. Should I keep the same res till I see a noticeably change in the ppm? Thanks, Fizo

If your keeping your rez chilled then your good for a rez change every second week. If your not keeping it chilled then I would stick to the once a week to avoid root slime. Water holds the most oxygen at 62 to 68° the warmer the water the less oxygen available to those roots. Max growth in hydroponics will be achieved when you keep your water cool. Frozen water bottles if you cant afford a chiller. Cheers

Hi, @802FIZ0 at the begining I thought that I had to change my both 70L res' once a week (just as described by the nutrient manufaturer) until I've read a lot into this topic and asked around on GD and came to the conclusion that you can easily change res water once every 2-4 weeks and it will have almost no effect on the plant because the water provides plenty of nutes and doesn't get "old and bad" in a few weeks. I just added new nutrients weekly to the res' and every couple of weeks I would change water completely and clean the reservoirs. But it's only my humble opinion. Please ask and read around more about it to make an educated decision on your own :) XOXO Cremo

Root rot?! So my water is 62 degrees, theres no light leaks. Iam using ro water with cal-mag, i have plenty enough air getting through the pump, and I've lowered the water. I've been using recharge, which may or may not be the problem? The plants seem a little droppy? Thoughts?

My 2000 is finishing one at the moment, iam gonna start using it in 2 weeks. And the brown washes right off the roots, I did add some ro and calmag water to bring down my ppm, and it washed the brown off real easy.

General hydroponics. Its a medium brown res. I was hoping it may be just stained. The plants seem some what healthy to me. A little dropping, but that got better. And just that one brown spot.

Sorry. The roots look stained. Are you using dark coloured nutes. Should be no rotten at those temps.
