@Antifame, so you use the vacuum filtration to remove stuff live paraffins and chlorophyll? I have used the filter syringes before but they really take some elbow grease and time if you have any real volume lol. my funnel i use for double washing bubble hash before drying. would you put stuff into a rosin bag, then into a jar in the ultrasonic or what? I know when folks have a rosin that perhaps the terp frac is not wanting to stay locked up, then you might hit it with ultrasonic processing or whipping to get a more consumer-friendly texture. I was asking about iso shifts (isomer shifts) as pressure, heat, and radiation are common ways to force isomer shifts in the cannabinoids and other secondary metabolites. Stuff happens under certain conditions like dimers and trimers. So, just as an example, you might get a limonene combined with a bisabool for a novel dimer terpene that smells or tastes waaaaaay different. This is the madness behind those rosin jelly dudes that are like deeeeeeeeeeep into the hash game. You can cook for days or weeks and get a completely different medication effect, flavor, smell, and texture based on your iso shifts (or hot cures). You could play around with it just by sealing a jar and using small amounts of heat in your ultrasonic machine if you get bored, certainly would work better than a crock pot 😉

@ATLien415, That sounds incredibly interesting, but I'm not quite there yet. I'm probably only scratching the surface, but I'll definitely continue working on it. You got some links on that topic? The idea behind the process was to produce the best possible e-liquid and remove all unwanted components from the extract. After some testing, I realized that syringe filters were too much work for me and they remove wanted components too. But it was fun experimenting and trying things out. 😊

@Antifame, where to start on dimers and trimers with cannabis, really the sky is the limit with your own curing recipes... you can even blend them back after partitioning them out into different cure lengths, a lot of them wont be stable, but seeing what comes out on the other end (as it isn't a fully mapped out science yet) is part of the drive to play with them. essentially just heat, pressure, and radiation have the ability to create isomers that wouldnt normally be there (and ones that would) in the same way that heat, pressure, time, and what not can take things like THCA to THC. I usually take fresh rosin, seal it in a jar, then cook it at low temps in a crock pot for a few days up to a week or two. winterizing hydrocarbons at any scale or well does take some true tools, which is insane theyre throwing a column for first place on the wet side. a freezer and a watchglass and syringe filters are more of a proof of concept most folks end up with terp frac hash rosin if you are trying to vape your own, although any hash rosin is technically okay for dabbing at low temps by my book. even with a press, recovering your own terp frac is hard and gonna be slow going. kind of why a good hash rosin pen at the shops is a little pricy, youre only getting the top fractions on a distillation column in theory from that
