Why are my seedlings so leggy when they get enough light?

I added pictures from 4 days after germ and wonder why my seedlings are so leggy (~5cm). I already filled it up with soil and they would be 10cm by now if I didn't. First 2 days was 12-14 DLI and since yesterday am giving them more light than many guides say: 250-270 PPFD, 18 DLI

Hey, a little bit of stretching is normal under SanLight LEDs as they emit not so much blue but more red in their light spectrum. If it really would have been 10cm long by now without adding soil on top, you may have had the light a little too far away for the first 2-3 days...it should be fine now with the adjustments and start to make bigger leaves while slowly getting bigger with the stem thickening. A good indicator is the color of the stems, they shouldnt be too light in colour, thats when you dont have enough light. Good luck!

some seedlings want more than others, but also use developing stem between nodes as a guide... if you give too much they remain tight. too little the stretch out too much etc... your stem isn't a pale white, so i'd say it's okay. Maybe it's just ready for a little ramp up... slowly.

For me, the first week of seedling stage, I keep the PPFD around 175-200, and then I'll up it to 200-250 PPFD. I don't think your seedlings look leggy, personally. THat's about the average stem length for seedlings. I've seen some leggy seedlings, and yours aren't it. Good start on your seedlings man. Just make sure to not overwater and they'll thrive.
