Been having a prob where the run-off readings are higher than the input ones: IN 1lt water + 1ml of Canna Vega | pH: 6.9; ppm: 381; EC 772 µs/cm OUT pH: 5.6; ppm: 964; EC 2,006 Soil is 9L Biobizz Light Mix, and prob still contains nutes. What should I do? Flush the soil?

There’s always going to be to be high EC/PPM in soil - it’s not a coco so shouldn’t be a driver for you. Buildup of old nutrients flushed with new - that’s why your readings are high.

@MadeInGermany no real reason :) Both the soil and the fertilizers were on discount in the shop I bought them from, and I went for them :) Being my first grow, I'm learning quite a lot - at least I hope - and for the future I might try to be more careful in choosing my setup.

A question :-) why do you use organic soil but mineral fertilizer? So you can do that, why are you doing it?

To further elaborate.. I have a lady in plain old Potting mix and she has had zero nutrient in waterings and she is loving it. Your run off comes in too play if you think your soil has no nutrients or is causing you problems.. Run off readings are important in Coco because it gives coco growers an idea of what is happening in the root zone. Cannabis has been growing in soil for millions of years and tends to grow very well in it. Unless you have very low nutrient content or very high nutrient content. Cannabis likes balance.

Stop getting run off readings from soil... You get run off readings in soil when you think you have a problem.. What you are seeing is you stripping the nutrients out of the soil.... That's why the ph is going down and the ec up.... I can help you grow in soil if you like but it is very different then growing in coco.
