They're all doing well as far as I can tell. I've put a tubular heater in-between the pots that comes on when the lights go off as the temperature drops quick in there. Watering as usual but other than that I only check on them about 15 times a day. I tested the run off water for the first time and was 6.3 pH which is what I put in. Was also the first time I'd even emptied them as they normally just dry up by next feed. There's orange hairs on some of the lower buds now guess they're maturing πŸ€” Was looking in to getting a microscope to have a look at the trichomes but tried using my phone camera first which I thought didn't do a bad job 😊 is only a S10 so would imagine the newer phones do an even better job πŸ‘ Have what seems to be a CalMag deficiency in all 3 plants but only just came up in rusty spots from 12am to 6am they just appeared was really pissed off and worried about them all day at work πŸ˜ͺ gave them all a CalMag and 6.5 pH water soak of 500ml each and a 200ml foliar CalMag spray for extra effectiveness haha πŸ™„ and then gave them their normal feed til run off.. the trays were a bit slimy πŸ€” hopefully it sorts itself out and have learnt to just use the CalMag every feed to be sure.

Give her another day or two and I am sure she will pop up. Otherwise just gently take off the shell and she will be golden.

Do my plants look small for the end of week 2? Have messed around with the lights far too much, switching from MH to HPS then finally to LED because of heat problems.

Try raising light to at least 20-24".. let them grow into it, or reduce if it stretches.. trial and error for that happy zone, but for younger ones they need slightly less than older plants. you're getting near the point where it should be full bore, though. So, just adjust and keep eye on internodal spacing. Too much light may not show major issues but can slow growth while imperceivable to our eyes that something negative is occurring. Seems fine, though.

All my plants are bushy and it's a struggle to get them all aligned so all the flowers are in the light. I don't know if some defoliation should/can be done? Or just leave them be and just stick with rotating them daily? Or tie the branches to the main stem? If that's a thing

Hi. So day 21 of flower usually is a cut off zone, if you are before it, its perfect time ! But think twice, are your plants healthy, maybe couple leaves off and tucking , plus small clearing of bottom would serve you better ? If you still positive, that too many buds don't get light or you expect high humidity levels later in flower - do it ! There is plenty articles how , when and what. You can check my 8 sisters diary , week 3 and 6 of flower. Do it before watering, always leave fully formed set of leaves, take off all matured lower. Good luck !

Last night I used some old but clean looking wire to bring branches in to the main stems. This morning there's now little orange rusty spots everywhere. Is a soil grow, 6.3 pH used and same run off with Cal Mag every other feed. Taken the wire of at 6am in anger, was it that? 😑

If you're sure it's not a calmag deficiency, I would say that you probably have critters like thrips. If you're using a booster, P and K toxicity is also probable. Wish I could narrow it down more for you.

Before I go to over the top with the CalMag in a stupid attempt to nurse my plants back to health I just want to know for certain what it is. The leaves are clawing, bronze spots everywhere but the smallest of the 3 doesn't seem to be suffering as much.. what is it?!

Could very well be calmag issues. Adding some more won't hurt. It really looks like N toxicity to me though. Dark green leaves that started to polka dot along with the clawing seems clear to me. Wind burn is another possibility if you have a fan directly on them. Add calmag, cute down any N-heavy nutes, and pull off any direct air currents. You got this, the fun is just starting!

Thank you 8thChevron for your help! Run off readings: pH 6.5 at 26.5c Ppm 245x10 EC 689x10 The fan was directly on them so have put that down to the floor now. Have also just flushed through with a half nute mix that was 6.3ph, 134ec & 549ppm Is there anything else I should do

for nitrogen tox i would add some horticultural MKP (0-52-34) at say 50-150ppms or just potassium sulphate (0-0-53 s17) at half the dose of MKP , start at 50ppm increments into your diluted res. for cal def if soil i'd add some gypsum on top for a soil drench or if hydro add some cal/mag or horticultural calcium nitrate ( 15-0-0 Ca19 ) with magnesium sulphate at half the dose of calcium nitrate, just remember to add the MKP at the same or the pot sulphate at half in ppm as calcium nitrate( or calmag) to bump up the p in th p:n ratio

Had a light case of what was believed to be calcium deficiency. Ph, EC and ppm all seemed normal for run off and I've halved my nutes but kept a higher dose of CalMag going. Didn't water them last night now it looks even worse, what should I do and will the end product be ruined?

Hey Growmie, This is definitely a calcium deficiency, that hasn't been corrected. It's seems your on the right track but you might need to flush the plant go back to your regular feeding regiment along with going up on the Cal-Mag should fix the issue. Remember damaged leaves more than likely wont recover. Hopefully I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

2 of my plants look like they've stopped growing now and the calcium deficiency looks worse and worse.. should I just flush then with water for a couple of week and be done with them? The late bloomer looks like it's got ages still, definitely not what I'd hoped for being autos

No need to flush, they fatten up the most in the last week unless you wash away the nutes, but its up to you. They look good, when they fatten up more will look even better. Use a soft measuring tape and check measurement now then do so again next week. Or take 1 picture at one distance, then don't move the plant and do the same at the exact same distance next week, and watch for growth. Its easier to notice with 1 week apart photos from the exact same location and aiming at the plant from the same angle.

Was just feeding them and noticed hundreds of tiny seed looking things float to the top of each plant, watched the soil for a while and they was moving πŸ˜ͺ They look like fungus knats maybe but I don't know for sure will upload a video I got of one. How do I get rid of them?

Cover your soil with diatomaceous earth, non toxic, obliterates tiny bugs, and also has lots of micronutrients for when you water it down (silice, CalMag, K, Iron), amazing stuff. Keep on the great care! Happy smokes!

The issue with calcium deficiency is that the symptoms start appearing several weeks after the deficiency begins; meaning the symptoms will not go away right away after correcting the issue. No, the buds quality will not be affected

did you correct your pH while feeding them with nutrients? or did you overfeed them? best luck!

MrGreen92
@@GreyArea51, Hi again, sorry I thought this was related to my current grow! With the cash crop auto I did over feed them a litre every day for a few weeks til I realised my mistake, they also had some stress with me trying different lights throughout the first few weeks so sure that didn't help! And finally I used standard soil from a store thinking it'd be alright but turned out to be teeming with thrips πŸ˜– Think if I'd of got decent soil and done a bit of lst along with stable conditions it would've been ok πŸ€” Good luck with your grows anyway mate, hope I've helped with avoiding some rookie errors like I did! ✌️
GreyArea51
GreyArea51
@MrGreen92, i understand now. I just saw that you had a high PPM and that could also cause the problems, not the nutrients itself. Check also Organics Nutrients for high quality organic fertilizer. Would recommend if you wanna switch. Good luck, happy growing!
MrGreen92
MrGreen92
@@GreyArea51, I began on a corrected pH of 6.2 but have recently changed to 6.5 as I read that was better for soil have been doing this since starting with dechlorinated water and then when I started adding nutrients. Have tried my best not to over water them, giving them 1 litre every other day seemed to be about right as the pots were light and dry by then πŸ€” The only thing I would say is a problem is the nutrients I'm using have got a bad rep compared to others like advanced nutrients so I may try switching over.. The seeds were about 15 months old as well so I'm just glad they sprouted without having to buy more 😊 Thanks for dropping in, good luck with your grow 😊✌️
