Topping early at the third node

Hi. I have topped two plants above the third node but I don't intend to main-line them. They both had developed four mature nods. Was I too early to top and I cut at the wrong node? Can they develop enough branches to Scrog a 70x70cm grow?

Don’t worry, they will grow and give many branches, but maybe it will take a little longer.

Show I cut main stem?Should I get rid of the main stem and just grow the surrounding bud sites? The main stem is getting too tall compared to the other stems so thinking I have to do something to help them catch up? Or just cut the main stem entirely? Finished 1st week of 12 12 tonight.

How to lollipop?Started lollipopping this week but did not remove all leaves up to the trellis because I was worried amount plant stretch and shock. Should I keep the leaves at the current level (about 2-3” below trellis), or cut it all off? Should I wait until flower or do it in veg if so?
