It's your diary, you can keep track the way it suits you better. Off course the more details you add in your diary the more will help you for the future as well as the rest of the growing community. But that's optional.
The only downside I see is that with under 3 pics a week you can't participate in the contests as the 'smiley face' won't turn green.

There is no minimum. U can track ur grow as u please. Daily weekly, every 2 weeks... but do note if u want to partake in the contest, making it diary as complete as possible is a good idea. Also ull get more attention from other growers the more complete u are... if those are things u care about.
