The only reason that may have a net benefit is if oyu are evaporating trichomes off the top of your plant with heat and/or light. maybe even wind? so, if it is healthy otherwise, i would't recommend it. You plant wil actually shrunk over 24-48 hours of darkness. may not be able to see it, but it will start dying.
