Bone meal is a great source of phosphorus, which is an essential nutrient for cannabis to help them flower and to produce strong roots. It’s easy for cannabis to absorb and take up, and is slow-release to benefit plants for months at a time. So as a top dressing I would add one time at the 3-4 weeks for an autoflower.

Top dress your beds and containers every three weeks to keep your microbes and plants fed. If you’re working with a complex and healthy soil, you’ll only need to redress it at the start of the flowering phase.

Autoflowering cannabis plants need phosphorous right before they begin to flower. At this stage, the plant needs more phosphorous since it’s a transition from the vegetative to the flowering phase. This means that you should use rock phosphate or bone meal from the third week until the fifth week.
