Should I remove foliage affected by deficiency, or just let it ride?

Autoflower started showing sign of deficiency at week 8. Assuming CalMag, as I filter my water and affected area is new growth at top of plant (see pic). 1) Can someone confirm CalMag deficiency or something else? 2) Should I remove affected leaves or leave them be? Thanks

Any time you chop anything from your girls you create a little stress, but they recover. That would be your decision.,if it was near the bottom or middle I would pull it but seeing it's at the top I myself would leave it for a while. Now I cant tell how you feed, so I dont know if it's a deficiency or its lockout happening stopping her from taking the elements up. If your not using a tds reader and ph meter and your feeding by the nute label I would suspect lockout, if your following their advice. It could also be a ph issue if your not using a ph tester. Does look like a p and k issue. You need to find out what your runoff ph and tds are. If you haven't a meter I suggest you get one quick, or do a flush to wash out the old nutes and in with the new. Cheers friend

Hello This definitely looks like calcium is a factor...but the red stems make me wonder about a possible phosphorus deficiency. Since calcium and phosphorus are so closely linked and often show up together. With calcium being best absorbed at 6.2 ph, possibly shifting your ph up a bit might help some? Unfortunately those affected leaves will not recover their beautiful green appearance from the weeks previous, but if it could stop spreading that would be good. Then just remove some of the worst leaves.👍

@gmslave Thanks for the response. I've been using EC and PH meter. My runoff seems to be in the expected region for EC and PH, no sharp rises in either. I've been adding calmag every other feed, and I've just introduced PK 13/14 to the standard nutrient base. I'm running at about 75% of the recommended strength for all other nutes. The leaves feel fine, and are still attached firmly. The newer growth above isn't as badly affected. Thank you for the advice - I think a flush may be a wise move, I've been pushing the nutrients quite hard, so clearing the salts out sounds like a reasonable thing to do. Cheers!
