In the dark before harvest?

Is it imperative to put them in the dark before harvesting? I've built myself a dry box that will keep them dark, cool, and the air circulating. I still have plants growing so I can't off the lights and I don't have anywhere else to set them.

Leaving some leafs on while drying can help increase the drying time which some people like to and perfer to do. It helps keep them from drying out too quickly. I'd only leave a few here and there but trim off say 80% of them. The box should be fine, Just keep it cool in a spot with the right humidity level.. that will be the key.. Box looks great! 👊

Ok, can I ask this. Is it to clear the chlorophyll from the buds? If it's in the dark during the dry process with that efficiently do the same or will it not be as good? If I leave the leaves on before drying will that help? Or should I trim her up before drying? Sorry, first time here. Lots of questions. Lots.

Drying stateI’m not sure if the buds of the plants that where indoors are good or they not drying well.
I have the grow room temperature varying from 18 to 21 degrees
But I’m not sure if the buds are moldy or even how moldy weed looks like.

Tips/advice for first time drying/curing? Did lots of research, looking for anything people overlooked or wish they knew their first time.I know I dont have the ideal conditions (80f 45rh) for drying, but it’s how its going to be as a humidifier and air conditioner for my grow space isnt in the budget atm. I have mason jars and boveda 62% humidity packs. Any other tips I should know for my first time?

I have been watering with just water and Ph down.... can't really flush a plant with CRF additives. This is my Ripest plant, was not going to water her tonight, it's been 4 days. Should I start Cutting the upper Buds? Will I be able to drop my lights and get the lower buds?

Freeze dry methodI think I found a nice easy way to freeze dry. I take a half gallon mason jar full of weed that's been drying for 5 days capped. Put it in the freezer for 45 minutes. Then take the out, take the cap off, and use a USB fan to pull out the moist air. What do you guys think?Other. Harvest - Drying

What would you advise I do with my harvest/dry/cure?I got 2 weeks untill I am away for 2 weeks. How should I prep this freaky fan flower for smoking?This plump lil flower growing on a fan leaf is getting picked off and smoked when I see the first amber trichs, should I put it directly in a small jar with a 2way humidity pack?
Trichomes seem to be aging faster than on normal inflorescence, touch slower than the ones on fans.

How long lasts drying?How long is average curing? I keep reading different things. Somewhere between 5-14 days. Can I leave mine drying for 14 days while I am away? Should I chop my Bruce Banner?To my surprice my Bruce banner auto already got a massive amount of amber on it. Did not think I would harvest so soon. Can anyone with some experience please zoom in at the photo, and let me know what they think? To me it looks like atleast 30% amber.
