GrowYOtents
GrowYOtentsstarted grow question 4 years ago
Should my light be further away from the seedlings to encourage "stretching" to ensure a bigger plant. Currently 30cms between seedling and light.

Usually a light to far from the plant does make it stretch for light but makes a weaker stem. Best to keep the proper distance from your plant for the right stages. Cheers friend

Don't take that "literally" and put your led on top of your plant.. 30 cms is 12 inches and for a 70 watt led.. I'd say that's perfect for a seedling.. Depending on conditions as well. If you can water it more.. you can use a bit more light.. But just be gentle whatever you do seedlings are fragile. Plants are strong.

Yup what Gm said.. As close as you can.. The idea would be Available photons(how close the light is)+Foliage+Water+nutrients= Photosynthesis... Very over simple but that's the basic concept so with plants technically the more light the more plant can grow. With a note that some plants handle more light then others. Cannabis happens to be a very high light crop.
