No point in supercropping leaves; it is supposed to be done on flower branches as you call them; that been said, since you are outdoors, there's not much point for your plant other than in the main cola to keep in at canopy level (or below) to promote side shooots. Good luck mate.

She took a LONG time to get big enough to flip to flower. I grow in fabric pots and organic soil. I think I over watered in the beginning, but could I have also defoliated too much, too early? How do I know how much water and when? How much defoliation is too much?
