Never seen any use for measuring the EC of run off from soil, too many variables to make it mean anything.
The PH is indeed useful and represents the PH at your roots to a large degree, not perfectly but good enough.

Alot of strains would tolerate 1480 just fine. Also depends on the breakdown of that tds if ull run into excess/toxicity issues. I'd definitely follow nobody's advice and water with ph balanced water next dump. Check tds to see what shes really consuming. What was the tds ppm of ur soloution going in? I understand it came out at 1480... but what had u just put in? If u dumped 800 tds and ur measuring run off at 1480 than ur having build up that can and will cause a issue down the line. I'm just trying to better understand the circumstances. Is ur run off higher than what ur dumping in? And by his much?
