First time harvesting, I have been looking at the Trichomes and see a bit of amber but none on the buds itself. Any ideas on how much longer I should wait, also why are there so many white/yellow hairs if the Trichomes are already turning amber.

Lots of factors go into the reddening of hairs. Heat, for example can make them turn quicker. Also genetics and feed can have an effect. This is why going by the trichomes is your best method although the hairs can give you a rough idea. You still have lots of clear trichomes, so I would say you have at least a week left. Watch out though, they can change fast on you!

Hey EhJay, Trichromes are the best thing to look at for thge harvest window. I would judge your chop off the trichs for sure. I have had plants ready to chop with 30% white pistils still and have also had other plants with 10% white pistils left. Each strain is different. Cheers and enjoy!

Hey Growmie, A normal thing for the trichomes on the leaves to mature faster than those on the buds which are the ones you want to watch. Harvest when 70-90% of hairs have darkened and once 50-70 % of the trichomes are milky/ cloudy. Now after saying all that and knowing how to time the MSNL harvest time, since I've grown there genetics before, I'd say it's 3 weeks away from being done. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

It is just about done, monitor the thricomes daily, it will not take longer than a week, if that.
