Hi my friend, if you cut some leaves(-10%) for better light and wind circulation you don't have any problem, cut the old leaves don't cut the new, if you cut the young leaves and cut so much, your plant start to born so much new leaves to repair itself and maybe start to reveg. Cut old leaves is good to avoid fungus, but do it carefully, wish you luck!

She looks wonderful and proud would not do any defoliation yet wait till 4 weeks or so from the end when a branch stem is snapped off the plant sends in repair fluid i spose a bit like Adrenalin in us so people bend and twist and break stems to improve bud. Does it , i don't really know, am just happy enough with defoliation you have plenty of plant to try a few different techniques have seen vids of guys on African plantations leaf stripping with some wonderful colas exposed. Love to have a bowl with ya

Normally there is no big Need for defoilating an outdoor Plant, because the Sunlight has more power to penetrate than Indoors. What you can do is to give her some "light tunnels". that means take only some large leaves away and try to make tunnels into the Plant. But i think your Girl has no Need for it. She Looks Wonderful. and if some buds are not mature, just let those unmature ones hang longer on your " tree". You can softly bind some strings at the Ends of the branches and pull the branches , to open the plant. Well that my 50 Cents to your Plant. Iam growing every year some " bigass" Plants and i mostly do only some tunnels. or if she grows very desne try to spread her with the strings. I have more the Problem to Keep her stable to the Wind and rain... and i give her in later autumn a " Cage" to lean on and some strips to fix her agains heavy wind. And she gets atransparent Roof to, against the heavy rain in late autums.

Defoliation is more of an indoor method to help get better lighting to the entire plant. Since you have the power of the sun those girls won't have a problem getting light. Just keep doing what you are doing. They are big and beautiful! Good luck finishing them up.

Leave her for sure dude. That plant looks great and healthy. It's outdoor and seems like it's got good spacing and is getting plenty of all around sunlight. You'll get way more from P-K booster type supplements then you would from Defoliation in this case. maybe in a few weeks after she really bushes up. But I am more of the "let it grow" type.
