I see that some of the bud sites that are lower down, aren't flowering as quickly as the ones near the top of the plant. Should I be defoliating some of these bud sites as they won't be as big, or should I leave them? I've seen some people say this and I'm a bit confused.

The theory is: if you remove the lower buds, you'll get larger, more potent bud from other sites. Most evidence of this is anecdotal, but the majority of home growers swear by it so it's still compelling. The drawback to this is that the lower bud is great for making hash or edibles. Oddly enough, your weakest buds make your most potent product. You'll have to decide what you want. I just lollipopped for the first time to put it to the test.

This is a personal preference and something you wont know untill you try both and see what you like better. You wont harm her to much by removing leafs to let more light to these areas but you also wont be doing any harm removing the lower budsites so that more energy is spent on your tops. It is really up to you but no wrong answer rly.

Some people leave it, some remove the lower buds. I myself remove it, leaving the plant to concentrate on the top buds. It is actually a matter of prefference.
