gdogfunkanswered grow question 4 years ago When you flip from veg to flower, the plant shift into bloom mode and will have a growth spurt from 2-3 weeks. During that 3 week early flower phase, the plant will grow up to 40-50% of it's size. The first week after flipping is known as the transition week and you still feed some veg nutrients, then switch to early flower nutrients for the next 2 weeks.
So, to answer your question, yes, the plant will grow bigger and you will have taller branches and more bud sites, as long as light can get to them evenly. That's why I prefer to use the SCROG method to keep an even canopy height so by the end of the growth spurt, I have a whole canopy of colas instead of a single cola with some secondary branches. I hope this helps!
