Saving Mixed Nutritions

It might be smart to aerate the solution just to prevent it from becoming anaerobic. You can buy an air stone and pump from any pet store for less than $20usd for at least a gallons worth of solution. If you have more than 3 gallons or so you may need a bigger air pump. This isn’t really necessary but since I started doing this I’ve never had an issue with diseases, nutrient solutions smelling funky or anything else bad. Also with that air pump I always aerate my water for 24hr+ so every time I water oxygen is getting to the root zone! So basically I never water my plants without aerating the water or the nutrient solution.

the mix would start to break down in about 2 weeks becoming weaker as time went on, so to be safe mix prior to use. you could always put some in a bottle mixed in a dark area to test it. if you are using organic nutrients that time line could be less.
