I need help!!!! I'm mixing the solution/lowering the pH/mixing nutrients/trying to achieve the desired numbers of pH 5.5 PPM 400/the solution sits for 12 hours/full replacement of the solution in the system/after 5-7 hours the solution in the system rises to 6.5 pH. How can I fix this and what’s the problem? Could the bucket be alkalizing the solution???

ok for a start removing carbon dioxide from water by using an air pump will increase the ph. so by actively aerating with an air pump and an air stone you are removing carbon dioxide thus raising ph. so the bucket is not raising ph but the air you pump in it is. i’m not a hydro guy but updrifting ph is normal in an hydro setup and you should just bring it back as it drifts upwards.
as far as i know i can say it is also a good thing that it drifts upwards than downwards. because that means your plant also uptakes some of the acidic nutrient molecules from the solution as well. keep adjusting as it drifts up and bigger the reservoir more stable the ph will be is a trick i learned from some hydro masters so in a small dwc bucket its normal imho.

thank you. it really looks like what I'm observing. most likely, the Ph is rising due to the abundant aeration. "case closed." I have a second bucket that I plan to connect to the overall system. but for now, since my nutrients haven't arrived yet, I've started with one bucket. any day now, I will combine them, and I'm sure it will make the solution more stable.

The water was left to sit for 24 hours/ after I mixed in the nutrients, it sat for another 12 hours/ The pH didn't fluctuate, but as soon as I poured it into the system, the pH rose from 5.5 to 6.5 in just 5 hours.

Let your water sit for 24 hours before adding nutrients. This gives the natural upswing of the waters ph to settle. Then add your nutrients and bring the ph to 5.8 for water growing while their in veg and 6.2 or 6.3 once flowers form. Check your ph periodically and do not let it go past 6.0 in veg. Don't know if this is an auto or a photo period plant so ex levels differ for both. Photos start their feed from day 1 at 400 ppm 0.8 ec. you increase 100 ppm every week until 800 ppm 1.6 ec is reached. autos start at 200 or 250 ppm from day 1 and they also increase by 100 ppm every week, but you stop increasing at about 600 ppm 1.2 ec

feeding great on a really low EC at 0.8, but i see other grows at pushing 1.5 at the same week. im flooding (Oxygen Pot w/ hydroton) every 4 hours, which feels pretty often. are the amount of floods proportionate to the EC? ex. if i flood less then my ec should be set higher?7y ago
