My Soil ph is sitting around 5 in most of my pots, how can I raise the ph of the soil without harming the plants? Is it as easy as working some crushed lime into the soil or is there something else I should be using?

You can top dress dolomite lime at about 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil. Lime will bring your pH back up and will also add cal/mag. Make sure to use dolomite lime and NOT hydrated lime as that will just cause more problems. You can find it at most garden centers sold as Garden Lime for about $5 a bag.

One way I like to raise the Ph while also adding benefits to the plant is by adding Agsil16h. It’s an 100% organic Potassium Silicate. It can be used as a ph + adjuster because it’s extremely alkaline. But the main benefit of it is that it will strengthen your stalks, and improve disease & heat resistance. It also helps with any damage that occurs. I accidentally split a stem right in half, I taped it and within 2 days it had already repaired itself. Since I found this product I use it all of the time to adjust ph. Another product you may want to add is some type of Mycorrhiza like Great White, Recharge, etc. The bacteria and fungi found in these products helps with balancing ph. When using these microbes the ph will fluctuate between 5.5-6.5 which is what you want because the plant will absorb different nutrients during those fluctuations.

pH adjusters. Get them from hydroponic or plant stores. Really cheap and really necessary for soil grows. 👊😁👍
