Has Anyone tried an Outdoor D.W.C Grow - Thoughts, results, issues (specifically heat related)

Has anyone tried Outdoor DWC grow? I am about 4 weeks into one (Southern Hemisphere) and I am happy with the progress.
I have buried the buckets underground, and have a solar air pump. I painted the buckets black then white so the light doesn't get through

You may need a chiller for those real hot days. Water to warm can create lots of root and plant problems. But if you keep the water cool, theres no comparison to the sun. To answer your other questions well, keep your water ph at 5.8 for veg 6.2, then 6.3 in flower. Keep your ec levels at 1.6 to 1.8. That's for indoor. You will probably need a little higher with the outdoor grow. Dont add any cal/mg as your canna nutes should have enough. Dont add any cal/mg unless you actually see a defficiency. Cheers
