Algae growing in water reservoir

Meeech
Meeechstarted grow question 4 years ago
Tonight I discovered the beginning stages of algae growing at the bottom of the water bucket I kept within the tent. As far as I know, the bucket was clean around a week ago when I filled it up last. With both plants getting this water for a few days, should I be concerned?

If algae is growing inside your bucket/reservoir then it’s being exposed to too much light. If you take it outside of the tent this problem should be eradicated. It may not hurt the plants but algae can compete for nutrients inside of a container plant. Nothing too crazy to worry about though!

Hey you don’t have to be concerned about algae. If you can you can clean it out and and start fresh again. I always got a little bit growing in my reservoir. I did do some research and it won’t hurt the plant or roots. It is just gross and sticky when it builds up. Happy growing
