Wood chips or spent mushroom straw?

So, woodchips, I know starve the soil of nitrogen, at first. From my understanding in the long run it would be more beneficial? I'm moving to full organic in the next run and from there on so any references would be very helpful!

Hey man. You wanna use hay straw or bark mulch for a top cover. You can also use clover seeds 🍀. As a cover and that is great to use. It helps keep N in the soil and at the top.

Exactly what @trueorganics84 said. Shredded bark mulch or hay straw are good to use.
