week 4 of flower. Leaf issues- brown/dead spots, some wrinkling. seems to happen more after watering- 3 ml/gal cal-mag only. water ph is 8.5, adjusted to 6.4. seems to effect lower larger leaves most, also some tip burn. coloring in the pics is a bit off due to the flash/ lamp

I had this problem with my last crop (never figured it out) and I hadn't used any cal-mag on those plants and no extra ammendments other than what was in the soil (nature's care organic potting soil- basically soil and plant tone). that issue last grow was actually the reason i bought the cal-mag, because i thought it was a calcium deficiency. i feel like my water is probably a bit harder than what it should be- not anything CRAZY, but i don't have an EC meter to be able to check it. do you think it could be a potassium deficiency from too much calcium? (either from hard water/ added cal-mag)? right around when I flipped to flower,, i started using about 1/3 distilled water, and 2/3 tap water (still adjusted). hard to say if that helped though.

Lemon juice, vinegar or citric acid for down. Baking soda for up. I haven’t used any bottled calmag in over a year tbh. Doing an organic grow with all these amendments, I had enough cal and mag in my soil and adding more bottled calmag only gave me problems. I think you should cut out the calmag for now and just give pHed water. Also, a compost tea will boost the microbial life if they were killed off.

thanks guys! i appreciate the help! yeah, it's a food grade hydroponic ph down, i heard using lemon juice or vinegar as ph down kills the microbial life. the cal-mag is organic- it's "bloom city" and has a bit of fulvic acid in it also.

Are you using organic cal-mag and organic pH down? Synthetics will kill your microbial life needed to break down the organic amendments you added.

Only give cal/mg once every week or 2. Too much putting it in all the time. Cheers

Beautiful plant! Lower leaves eventually give up and die back, that's normal. I have seen that faded blotchy death before from water pooling on the leaves. I wouldnt say you are deficient of anything as the plant looks well fed. I wouldnt be worried, looking really healthy to me.

not nutrient burn, the plants have been doing good in this soil for i think about a month and a half. has a bunch of organic ammendments in it. i haven't added any more since transplanting that 1.5 months ago. i did try adding a very light amount of "golden tree" (for some potassium), and same with blackstrap molasses (for the same). i feel like that just makes it worse. before watering, i had removed a good amount of the dead growth (either removing the whole leaf or just cutting the fingers back), so i could see what the effect of the watering was. i don't think it's over watering, i only water it like every 3-5 days. much closer to every 3 though. had a very similar problem last grow- never figured out what it was... unfortunately it took a pretty significant toll on the medicine- despite being able to get a "successful harvest" from it..
