Help with seedlings falling over and dying :/

Could someone please look at my two seedlings and tell my why they are falling over? I planted four golden goat seeds, which all sprouted. However, two have already completely fallen over and died. The one with the makeshift supports was completely flat this morning. Thanks

I agree with @harbingerofharvests new growers tent to over think things. It’s called weed for a reason. Lol I see you have seedlings in rather large pots to start, this is your first mistake that lots of new growers make, thinking they will skip the transplant issues and end up drowning there seedlings. Next time try using starter cups instead, it is much easier to get a good wet/cycle going at the seedling stage. All you can do now is let it dry out completely and then only water under your seedling around the base with a small amount of water at first, it should be dry again in 24-48hrs or so then repeat. As it gets bigger you can add more water, if it takes more then 2 days to dry add less next time, if it takes less then 24hrs to dry then add more next time. Next is your seedlings are stretching for the light, so bringing your light down closer will stop them from reaching for it, also a light breeze on them will force them to toughen up as well. If you would have started them in starter cups you could have just bury the extra stem on your next transplant in the new soil, but since you are already in large pots all you can do is try and fill you pot with more medium to make your stem shorter again. Hope this helps! Cheers💨

Hey Everyone who replied to me, I wanted to thank you all for taking your time to help me out. As a total noob I was very frustrated at the thought of loosing another plant. However with all your advice I feel I feel confident enough to keep going...for at least another week lol. Thank you so much to members @russrahl @HarbingerOfHarvests @HighAltitudeOrganics @FritzTheCat @TrilliumTrichomes for answering. You guys pretty much gave the same advice so I feel okay to close the question. I wish I could choose everyone, or at least reply to each individually but it doesn't seem like i can do that so I am just going to respond here and hope y'all read it. I am choosing @russrahl tho because he gave me the most detailed advice about the two main issues. I also think he is totally right about using smaller cups. I was not sure at all about what container to use or how much light to give them. Thanks again.

Two things mate ;light not close enough and too much watering. You can adjust low watering with a small transparent covering like glass on top of them to conserve moisture.. but do not over water!!

From my inexperienced perspective, I'd say too much water with light being too far away. How far away is your cmh? At that stage, I was about 2.5ft from the plants.

Sorry to see this. Those seedlings have stretched too much by the looks of things, meaning they needed more light! They should have larger secondary leaves long before getting to that length. Those tripods look a bit brutal. Seedlings are very fragile. I have no experience with the myco innoculation you've used. I hope the rest survive., but it doesn't look promising. Good Luck.

Hopefully when you read my statement that it’s a seedling stretching for light, that sets alarm bells off that you need to decrease your light to canopy distance. I suppose I should have spelled that out in my first answer but it should be obvious. Or increase your light intensity at the same distance. You’ve got two people giving you the same, correct answer. There’s no overthinking going here. You’ll recover.

and too much moisture as sad by other.. But the thing is with more light will solve your immediate problem.. Watering is a whole other different ballgame.. But 100% growers overcomplicate things and put way too much thought into growing what is effectively a plant and living thing that wants to grow...

one of your parameters is way off.. Contrary to popular belief cannabis is rather easy to grow.. But it does need water and sunlight. Especially in seedling stage. I put light on seedlings because they need light in order to grow.. The length of the nodes/stem is directly related to how much light there is.. Burning seedlings is easy especially if you put the led too close and adding too much nutrients too soon is a surefire way to slow them down and make the first few weeks harder growing... but the "perfect" number and what works for everyone is not always what works for you. When I started to realize I was the problem and it wasn't just "genetics" every single seed I germinate that pops has grown into a big plant.. This is all being said.. those cannabis plants are begging for more light... If they get this tall and skinny.. It's obviously saying give me more light.

That’s what happens when young seedlings with weak stems stretch for light. You have taken the next logical step to support/brace them. Adding indirect, weak airflow will also benefit those weak, developing stems and force them to strengthen up. What’s your light source? What is the distance from light to canopy? Are you overwatering? Looks like a very moist substrate.
