Water Quality

The H20 in my apt is hard & no good for growing bud, since having the right PH bal is muy importante. I have a water testing kit, but even if I test it, what could I do to fix the PH & remove any other additives? Should I just keep using bottled water or is it possible to fix it?

Add a ph down and get a digital ph tester. Test water going in after nutes put in then test run off to get idea of where soil levels are at. 20 percent run off. You can use city water, but let it sit out for 2 to 3 days so chlorine additives to make it safe evaporate off. Ph will likely be higher with city water. Mine is. Good luck

If you say your tap water is no good (Usually happens due to high Chlorine/heavy metals) then try leaving the water in an open container for a few hours before using/testing it to let the Chlorine dissipate (this is a sketchy way of doing it but may work if Chlorine buildup in your tap is the problem), another option for you is using a reverse osmosis to clean your water and purify it. This is a little costy (less than constantly using bottled water) but very efficient way to supply clean water to your plants (fertilizing should not be reduced or diluted if using reverse osmosis - use recommended amounts!) As for pH there are plenty of pH up/down solution available in grow shops/garden shops/greenhouses/online that you can buy for pretty cheap (there are other methods using household items) Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)
