Essentially is the same nutrient correct? From my understanding, a PK booster is usually thrown in the middle of the flower cycle for about 2 - 3 wks. I've also noticed it rarely cut out. Can/would you mix the product lines? what weight differences have you seen with use?

I have used canna pk13-14 and bud xl for years and I like them both. If it’s a strain I know I normally add 13-14 when the buds start to link up for a 7-14 day period starting between day 28 to 35 (week 5 or 6) unless it’s a very late bloomer. I may start at 2/3 strength or straight in with full strength depending on how the plant is developing or if the plants are a little smaller than usual. Once that’s finished I add bud xl at week 6 at the recommended dose of 1ml per L. I don’t usually use them at the same time unless it’s the last few days of the pk window. I have not found there is any benefit from using pk before the buds start joining together or continued use much after the 6th week. Just for reference canna recommend using 13-14 for only one week. But play around and find out what works best for you👍

The "Bud-XL" is mostly a Potassium (K) and a bit of Nitrogen (N) additive and wont benefit you much if you fertilize correctly with your base fertilizers! I personally don't recommend using it and sticking with the PK for flowering (don't stop with the Nitrogen output completely but lower it by at-least 50%). PK fertilizers can start being used even from week 2 of flowering (or if shows deficiency of course) and always start with 1/4 of recommended dosage then slowly increase it as the plant progresses (again if deficiency appears-adjust it) *deficiencies cause less stress to your plants and are easier to identify early *During flowering it is not normal for leaves to turn yellow if they do there's a deficiency or even a toxicity!!!! leaves should be green throughout the whole growth! Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

In the case of boosters, I wouldn't worry about mixing brands. Boosters are almost entirely PK so it shouldn't have any negative effects. And yes, 3rd-6th weeks are the recommendations I see. Keep in mind that if your standard flowering mix is correct, you shouldn't really need a booster. The plants can only take up so much P and K.
