Change lights off time?

SevenStoned
SevenStonedstarted grow question 4 years ago
I'm having trouble with temperature control. My nights get too cold. My current lights off time is 12am-6am. Is it possible to change it? I really want my lights off to be from 9am-3pm. I think that would help me a lot. How do I change it? Let my lights run for 27 hours?

If you're just wanting to adjust your on/off hours so it benefits your Temps. You can change the timer immediately. It will not effect your plants. One day of extra light to adjust your timer will be fine

Incorrect information weezy90. Just like leaving the light on during flower for one day will disturb the plants. Leaving the light off during veg will disturb the plants aswell Plus he is trying to avoid cold Temps. So it's best for the grower to leave his lights in to change his cycle.

If you don't mind the extra cost. You can run your lights 24/7. Typically alot of growers will say and its proven that plants benefit from a dark cycle. Even 2 hours. So I advise to run a 20/4 light cycle or even a 22/2. But this will be fine

Hi !

My advice is if your going to do it, do it now rather than later. As long as you don't leave your plants in 12 continuous hours of darkness I believe you should be fine mate.
