Darktideanswered grow question 4 years ago Tape works wonders. As others stated keep it taped up and support it with a stick and it will heal in about a week and left on or taken off.
I keep grafting tape on hand as it works great, leaves no residue and is easy to remove if need be. (Use it for grafting tomatoes with potatoes)
I broke several branches on my one plant when trying to trim or take cuttings and had no reduction in growth compared to other branches of the same and other plant.
Your plant should do just fine as long as it is healthy and there was no pests at the site before you taped it up.
