If you want to reduce total stretch, do a heavy defoliation after the first week. This should slow them significantly for a few days. Although it's possible they will just keep pushing up anyway. If they get too tall, then supercrop them during the second week of flower.
I haven't, but I can't think of a logical reason to do so. It will stress them out and they're gonna stretch too fast resulting in weak stems. In the end, it may not make much difference, but I can't think of a positive outcome.
Yes i have and they do seem to show a little bit faster. But it increases the stretch because they ate looking for light. If you want to stop the stretch if ur using bottle nutrients is to highly reduce nitrogen or ur grow nutes. After week 4 of flower i stop nitrogen completely. I also do after 2 weeks of flower stop nitrogen depends on how dark green the leaves are. If ur in soil what u want to so is just tie ur plant down alot or scrog it hope this helps
