Aluminum sulfate to acidity ph down.
Dolomitic lime to alkaline ph up.
Ph levels are just another spectrum, like all spectrums its better to enact change, although each strain/plant has a preferred ph, going to far off will cause lockout/sickness.
On the flip side keeping the ph religiously static has its own set of less known problems.
Minerals/Nutrients have varying preferences that effect uptake rates through the rootzones.
Manganese for example hates Temps below 67 and uptake levels will drop.
Trying to produce "purples" using temperature drops too early ar the wrong stage of development will destroy yields as is vital for flower formations.
I have a small diagram on one of my diaries somewhere I will lookup and link when I'm home.
Each nutrient has a preferred ph also.
What nutrients uptake well at a ph of 5 is night and day from the levels at 7. The curves are drastic.
Like all things in nature ... the seasons driven by eternal change. This is the secret of life.
Provide your plants with any old range between 5 and 7 and stop ✋️ working about being perfect. I personally cycle between 5-7 uptown shake it all around.
P.s go organic. Nature always knows best,
There is a multi billion dollar industry that wants you to feed your plants cheeseburgers and pretend it's all cool.
