Transplanting it so early probably shocked it to death. You should start autos in their final pot mate, soak in wet kitchen roll/leave in cup of water until tap root grows 1 inch ish, then put straight in soil in final pot. When you say you put carpet under the soil, do you actually mean under the soil or under the pot? Atb

If it didn’t sprout yet try putting sandpaper in a cup covering the walls, then put the seed in and spin it to lightly sand the seed shell. Best of luck!
